Well t has happened, we are covered in Snow
I woke up this Morning to a white World and Snow still falling, now I love snow but I do not love being cold and right now the only warm Place in my Flat is my Living Room
Gissi got up and I lifted him up to show him the Snow, well he just wanted to go back to sleep, an hour later it was time to take him out, we went out the Front, Gissi looked at the Floor and then at me
I told him he had to go, he was not happy when he sank into the Snow, he was wearing his coat, but his little legs disappeared in the Snow
Ok now Gissi was in a bad mood, he barked at every Dog that passed, he decided to stop at EVERY Tree we passed, but then I think he got to cold and wants to go home, the thing is he was dragging behind me, which meant he wanted me to carry him, which I would have loved to have done as I felt for him, but it would have put to much strain on my Lungs who where already trying to deal with the cold
We are in the below Zero and I have to say we know about it
I went to bed this afternoon and stayed there as it was the warmest Place for me
We are expected to be like this for another 2 weeks and I really don't want it to stay like this I want the Snow but not the Cold

We have Worldwide Cold not Seen Since 70s Ice Age Scare (in 1977). Can you imagine having snow on Florida and Texas? It is the coldest winter worldwide.
We have arctic cold here in Chicago, snowstorm on the way with wind up to 30 miles per hour.
Stay warm,
HUGS

Since we are in the midst of worldwide cold, what does that say about Global Warming? On the other hand, we haven't seen any cold here in Queensland. In fact, we only had two days of anything like cold last winter.

You're right it does make you wonder about the global warming thing since it's been so cold and snowy worldwide. Yes and I've heard about snow in Florida and Texas..unreal although I remember last year the almanac actually "predicted" a colder than normal winter...guess they were right

I don't want the snow. I don't want the cold. But I have both. It is not fun. My bed is one of the warmest places as I have many quilts on it. I stay close to the fire also. Poor Gissi. Cold toes. CeeCee does not like the cold on her feet either. She goes out to do her business. Then she runs in and straight to my bed so she can warm up. It is just too cold everywhere.

Gissi stays under the Covers so long and then I guess he gets to warm lol there are times he is in and out of the bed like a Yo Yo
Last Night he had wrapped himself in my Dressing Gown, good Job I did not need the Bathroom as I know would have a problem getting my Dressing Gown of him lol
Hi there Pye

We've had the cold weather, but no snow yet!!! They say the snow may show up tomorrow. I dearly DREAD the thought!!! I haven't faired very well with just the cold. (Yes, I'm a pusss when it comes to being cold.) I feel soooo sorry for Gissi. Not only do his legs get cold, but his little tummy & (whatever) are dragging in the snow too!!!

Yes LadyM that is one thing that he is not impressed about as his coat will not cover his whatever I keep expecting it to be frozen lol His Tummy is is ok as the Coat covers that and I think he is happy to have the coat right now lol as he lets me put it on him without chasing around the House first lol
Just stay warm, I am like you I do not like the cold at all

I could not believe it when I woke up this morning to what resembled the coming of a second ice age
Luckily for me, work was cancelled because it was considered too dangerous to travel (lawsuits and such)

Hang on... You want the snow, but not the cold? Surely, if it's warm, the snow is gone!
I love the snow - all white, brilliant... Having said that, I made the mistake of travelling to the borders wearing hideously inappropriate footwear, and I think my feet have only just thawed out. So I do know what you mean.
I am glad to have an excuse to wear my Soviet greatcoat, and to put the fire on. Stay indoors, keep warm, and eat lots of soup! That's my advice.

Gaby, please stay indoors as much as possible. I know you have to go out sometimes, but your walks can wait until the weather clears. It can't be good for your breathing. Please stay warm indoors and enjoy looking out at the snow - having your cake and eating it too.

Here in normally hot Georgia we have been below freezing for the past 5 days and expect is to stay like this for another week. There is even talk of snow on Friday night. The last snow fall I saw here was in 2001 ans that was hardly anything but flurries. I saw on the news how bad it was in the UK. Stay warm!

You must live further down south than me. I got snowed in yesterday morning. The weather hadn't been that bad the night before, so I wasn't expecting it. I could only move my car a couple of feet, and that was it. I heard from a friend that bus services were cancelled, so I stayed at home yesterday. No improvement this morning, so I had to catch two buses to get into work, and I was still two hours late.

Hi Gabs,
I can imagine Gissi's little face, lol, my cats didn't want to go out at all but the little things, they just couldn't hold it in any longer and ran out the catflap, they were soo buried in the snow but they mange to find some earth under the hedge and done what they wanted and can running indoors, I had to laugh as they left their paw and body prints behind. I love the snow too and don't like the cold either. Love and hugs.

Well! I didn't know, for a start, that you and Gissi were British!
Most dogs love the snow but I suppose that when it comes up to your waist (and more importantly to that sensitive region for male dogs), a small dog is not too happy about it. From what I have read of him, Gissi is a 'Poirot' among dogs - very prim and proper; likes everything in order (and would, no doubt, sleep with his moustache in curling papers if he knew about such things).
Yes, the cold is unusual and a tad uncomfortable but I do prefer this below freezing weather to the hovering-around-zero damp cold that we get when it's thawing. Fortunately, I have a warm house (and can expect a Winter Fuel Supplement from the Government, too). Just at the moment, it's very pretty out with the sun on the snow and I'm tempted to go out with the camera!

Brrrrr, below Zero? Ohhhh, I can't even imagine although I know it's coming here too with those temperatures. We got snow everywhere here and it's suppose to all freeze into ice overnight. They're already warning people who are going to be driving early in the morning to be careful. Ugh! And you're suppose to get this cold for another two weeks? That's horrid. I'm not a winter person anymore, didn't care when I was younger but I don't like it now. Give me summer anyday!

Hi Gabs & Gissi! I am so sorry to hear that you two are now
dealing with the cold and the snow! As Pye has told you we are
expecting a bit more snow now too! We live in the same area
of the State so we have the same weather and it hasn't been
to much fun here either! Won't Gissi wear some bootys? I know
my dog wouldn't wear them, but hated his little feet to be
in the snow too! I know that the cold weather doesn't agree
with me anymore either Gabs, so I feel for you too! Try to take
care, bundle both of you up and when you get in drink something
hot right away (well sorry Gissi, I don't think that works for
little fellas like you)! Warm Hugs, Opal

We don’t have snow here and the temperature never goes below zero although it can get chilly down to almost zero sometimes and I hate feeling cold! Poor Gissi, I bet his little feet were freezing! He will probably have fun in the snow once he gets himself used to it Hope you can find a way to keep warm...I am definitely a summer person, not too keen on winter.

Much of the US is bitterly cold, too, and yes...snow and more snow. It does get hard to get out and about or even stay warm inside with that kind of cold just hanging on.
Bed is a nice place to be in such weather!

Hi, it sounds funny with kid experience, but I think it's so terrible in cold winter. My place is a little better, I am in HongKong, from news, I know that snow are very heavy in many country. I hope cold is gone later and snow leave with people :-)). Good Luck in winter.
