Have you ever been obsessed with someone or something? Not like creepy-stalker-type obsessed, but like you just can't get enough of something?
Since I was 12 or 13, I have always gone through obsession "phases." The first obsession, I think was this pop-punk band. I had all their CD's, a poster and T-shirts, and would always look them up online and look for them in magazines. After a year or so, I kind of got tired of the band, and then became the same way about another. After that, I kind of went dormant, in terms of obsessions, for a while. When the Twilight movie came out, I read the books and got obsessed with them, and now I've kind of got this obsession between two bands, one of which was my second obsession.
I recently found the real (non-inposter) myspace page of the band's vocalist and I just totally freaked out- it had all these personal-ish funny photos and stuff. w

Hi Olisaur,
Ahh obsessions ~ Laughs ~ I don't tend to think of my life in terms of years, I think of it in terms of obsessions lol!
As long as I can remember there has always been something I was obsessed with. My first ever obsession was a TV program and though I moved on from it as I got older and found new interests, I did pick my university course based on that obsession. Alas I should have listened to a different one, but at the time it was incomprehensible to not follow through childish ideas. Currently my obsessions have been stable (the same one for 5 years) so I am not all that hyper, but if something unexpected happens (finding a comic in the library for instance) I can totally freak out and my poor friends have to put up with my going all fangirly lol. My avatar is a testament to my obsessive nature, though unexpectedly when I became obsessed with that anime I also became an artist, alas I moved on and stopped drawing, but that is one I think very fondly about.
But oh yea, if I am never obsessed with something I will faint in shock. I just can't imagine it lol! It is nice to see that I am not the only one
All the best,
Dranz

At one point yes, but I already leave it behind and wanna start a fresh life and aspirations in 2010. I have just realized that it is not always worthy to be obsessed with someone especially if he is eyeing somebody else, it is always heart-wrenching and I really learned my lesson.

I've been obsessed with A LOT of things throughout my life. The things I can remember would be Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Poke'mon cards, Harry Potter cards, PS1 and PS2, (I don't have a PS3, so I haven't played it that much.) Guild Wars, (MMORPG) my girlfriend, electronic music and rock music, but not as much as electronic, Guitar Hero, Dance Dance Revolution, MySpace, the mall, hmmmmmmm.
The funny thing is that there's probably been A LOT more than that, haha. I've had a lot of hobbies and things that I've collected throughout my life and it's hard to remember everything. This is a cool topic though, because it's interesting hearing what people have been obsessed with in their lives. It gives you a hint as to what kind of person they are, and what they've done with a lot of their spare time.
What was the band that you were obsessed with? I remember when I first started getting interested in music. I was like 12 and I first listened to Britney Spears. Now days I wouldn't listen to any of her CDs if my life depended on it, haha, but I seriously hate her music now.

Well I dont think of things in terms of real obsessions but there has been some TV shows over the years that I was and still am really fond of and might border on obsession, but the fun harmless kind, and here are a few names of my favorte TV shows, V the original mini series that was my sister and I favorite show we use to watch a lot, and now I own it on DVD I know that its a bit cheesy now, but its still fun to watch, and thundercats was a big favorite it was this anime style cartoon show in the 80s, and yes I liked it a lot as a kid I think my enjoyment of that show bordered on obsession, lol I still sometimes watch old reruns on DVD. and these days I still enjoy anime and other cartoons, partly because I'm an artist and because there still fun if done well my two new favorites are the Avatar cartoon series and a cable TV show called true blood though I think maybe they could tone down the love scenes just a little and focus bit more on the plot lines. and there you have it my borderline obsessions haha but I prefer to think of them more as guilty pleasures.

lolz..hihihihi..When I was in my early teen, I got so "obsessed" with a foreign boy band. hahaha! It was so funny!!! Because imagining it now, how I weirdly praise them..ohhhhh..hahaha!!! (I can't take it!!) Am not that finicky at that time and got so crazy easily on a popular cute all-boy-band. Haha! whose singing ballad and pop songs. At that time, all my notebook have their faces on, I have a poster of them hanging in my room and bathroom door. LOLZ.. I got a t-shirt and badge of them too. Now that I am older, it made me laugh so hard every time I reminisce those days. But I guess, it made my teenage years fun and happy.
Happy Lotting!

I have always been obsessed with some different things at different times of my life. When I was young between ages 12 to 15, I used to be obsessed with practising the piano. I would practise the piano for hours non stop. At another point, I was obsessed with collecting stamps and music cassettes. I have also been obsessed with fiction books and used to read many of them in one day. As for the present, I am not particularly obsessed with anything but I do like working online. However, I do not consider myself obsessed rather I am really enjoying what I am doing now.I guess I tend to be obsessed with things only during my young days before my twenties.
