Of course, depend if your pet is a "she" or a "he"; what names your pet dog or cad already have? In what you thinking when choice a name for your pets? I have a pet dog . is a "she" and i call Karina(mean nice in italian languace), and i choice this name just because when i was kid, i had same kind of pet dog, with same name, and "she" just disapear, and i suffer a lot because of this.

I could never name a pet until I saw a pet. If they were big and black, they might get the name killer. If they were a giant fluff ball and very tiny, they might get the name dustbunny. It all depends on the animal itself. I couldn't name an animal until I have set eyes on it and got to know its personality.

LOL.. My Aunt got a little puppy once and they though because of it's color that it was a shepherd mix and it would be a big dog.. they named it KILLER.. It was actually a Dachshund mix and ended up growing not much taller than your ankle.. But it was a cool name.

I have some names that I like-(I have a list) But I still don't name a dog until I have seen it and see their personality. Sometimes those names I like just don't "FIT" the dog. I have 4 dogs now and 14 cats and I have had MANY other cats and 3 other dogs also over 50 hamsters at one point- ALL named.. I have used a lot of names! Yes I have eve reused some (for the cats and Hamsters) But I don't think I could re-use A dog's name.. I like to have an image of only one dog when I think of the name (in memory). So I think all the dogs i have will have different names.

It woould seem that you have a number of pets. I hope there are never any incidents of catfights or dogfights, the occassional cat cozying up to the hampsters maybe?

well, I do have a bunch.. I do not have hamsters any longer. that was a past lifetime ago.. lol about 20 years ago. But there is generally no cross species fighting.. but within the same species.. it happens.. the cats get annoyed with each other.. and sometimes the dogs too.. Not to often.. more so the cats.. they are more easily annoyed I guess.

I have a white pit bull with black ear, back then I couldn't think of any names better than Bim ^^ I named him after the famous dog in White Bim The Black Ear novel. I also have 2 chihuahuas named Chicchi and Poppo :D

If I have a new dog and it's a "she" her name will be Deena because I've saw this name in a book and I liked it so much. And if I have a new dog and it's a "he" his name will be Thor because of Greece mitology! And I really don't like cats...

Jinks - My cat
Pet names are usually unique to them. You have to see them and spend time with an animal before it reveals its name to you. Like my cat Jinks. His name is not because he's black, he is white if you flip him over, all four paws and his belly are white. When I got him he kept following me around and "stalking" me so I told him he was full of hijinks. Hence the name. We actually call him stinkbomb now, but that is just a nickname, in fact he doesn't stink much because I wash him all the time, that is just what we call him all the time.

Right now we have a yellow lab named Zeus. He is 4 months old and all the pet we can handle right now lol. He is actually pretty good though. I always wanted a dog named Zoey. So maybe down the line we'll get another one. Or even a cat with that name would be good. I figure when my kids grow up and leave us I'll cope by getting 2 full blooded dogs and breeding them.

As far as I concerned, if I have a new pet dog or a pet cat , I think I will give her a very nice name which can be remember by evryone who has looked at her. The name must be in my mind already. I think I will call her Feifei which I think is a very lovely name I can think about.

Hmm, I wouldn't be able to say before the new pet was there. I would want to give a unique name and then I have to know it's personality first. Of course, my next pet is likely to be a horse and they come with names and it's not allowed to change them anymore :-/ You can add, but you can't change the name totally.
