I agree with you shoyebshaikh. But the issue is educated people are ok with this idea. Uneducated masses are not. They are misled ever so frequently. :( This gives unscrupulous politicians, and antinationals a chance to play havoc with sentiments. I think politicians are a breed that need to be eliminated in the first place so that we can have issue based politics. We dont need those long hours at assembly discussing some point in the book, or speakers leaving the session crying. We dont need to see our politicians come to blows, and all that drama that is telecast on television. We need action. Political parties representing a specific idea are a myth. If people differ in idea from what is the party's stand, as is seen in Andhra politics, they should have the right to vote against the stand! That is democracy! Why KCR didn't vote against Chandrababu when he was with TDP, or why all the Telangana ministers who are now revolting didn't do so when injustice was a regular feature against the region is anybody's guess. I think religion is just one aspect, but it can flare up equally harshly as was the case in Gujarat. In fact, any party that sports anything that can be remotely termed religious or does anything that can be remotely termed religious should be banned. But that doesnt happen, does it?
