I've just received a chain letter from my email. This is the nth time I got one but I never pass it around like it says. I don't believe in those things but I remember the time when I did. It was before mobile phones and the internet. Someone gave me this envelope with a chain letter inside. It says something about a saint... something.. I forgot. Anyway, at the bottom of this letter are names of people who did what it said and got lucky. They either won the lottery, survived an accident, got promoted, etc. And there's also a list of people who ignored it and terrible stuff happened to them. They either died, lost their job, got aids, and other scary incidents. Being the gullible kid that I am, I made 20 copies of that letter, all handwritten, and gave it to friends. Now, we can see all kinds and variations of these chain letters. It's being passed around in emails, youtube, social networking sites... For those gullible enough to believe it, you're lucky they can just be copied and pasted and send them in groups.

Oh yes they did. And these are long written chain letters that supposedly has been passed for years, unlike the ones we see now that says "forward this or your parents will die".

We are indeed lucky. Not only can we send these by group, there are copiers as well to make number of copies. Decades ago, whenever my mom gets these types of letters, she would let me type them depending on the required numbers like 20 copies and even 50. I would use a regular typewriter and carbon paper. Still, I have to type it several times that the tips of my nails will bleed from over-typing. Technology had change our way of life. Thank GOD!
