I have always been a fat person and one day getting sick and tired of all the ridicule and jokes, decided to start getting into shape.Calorie counting being one major step towards this,i searched high and low for info regarding caloric content of certain foods. Is there any way i can calculate the calories in the food i consume which is basically Indian cuisine?I know that the internet is a storehouse of info regarding calorie content of individual ingredients. My issue is that i take Indian foods and would like to know how to calculate the calorie content of say Chicken curry. Moreover many ingredients of Indian foods do not find mention in the calorie lists so any way i can find this info?

my dear dependent, You are not just lucky! you are blessed my friend! You would not know the amount of hardships one has to go through before you face the weighing scale the next day.It is torture to not eat that peice of cake when everyone else is having it.It is absolute hell when your spouse is sleeping and you have to get up at unearthly hours to jog....Lucky you. My sincere advice to you- dont even think of trying to put on weight!Ha Ha!believe me, it is not worth the effort.

oh if you want to loose weight dont count calories and all that just stop eating too much or go crash dieting and avoid binge eating its this easy, the problem is the self discipline. i lost weight by starving my self i tried everything but crash dieting is the most effective (you wont be fat if you don't out anything in right)
