It is true that there is a disease that if women catch it,they can lose their pregnancy and have trouble later on trying to conceive.Toxoplasmosis is the disease and it is spread to humans by touching the cats toilet and not washing hands afterwards.
Good hygiene will prevent this.Even have someone else clean the kitty litter while you are pregnant.
I have 2 cats that live inside and 3 kids so it's not really a big worry for the cat lovers out there:)
