I make no comment yet save that I'd be interested to know what you think about the contents of this simple video of a man ordering pizza. www.aclu.org/pizza/images/screen.swf

It's one of the things I worry about. That sort of info is all out there and I reckon it would be easy to collect it so it was all in one place. It's one of the things I worry about with Facebook. As well, we've lived as a free society for so long and we are getting it all wrong. How long before this sort of thing becomes a reality for our own good?

Maybe 1984 was correct but they didn't tell us. Do you think they would tell us that kind of stuff?

Our Government is already telling us that they need to record our every move for our "security". What they mean is that it makes it easier for them to snoop on us. 1984 has come, just 26 years late!

Yep, it does, next thing you know we will have a chip inserted somewhere beneath the skin and the doors will have scanners and the security of each place will know our rap sheets instantly...or all our other info..where we live and all..would bring crime down alot..

It may well be closer than we think Becky. Government's are starting to become very Soviet in their approach. Scarey isn't it?

That will be a reality here in America if people don't take action quickly! Many of us have awakened to our government takeover but most of those think their representatives will prevent such a scenario. They need to realize that we've been sold down the river for power and money and that we need a very serious revolution right now before it's too late. Aside from the serious implications, the clip is rather funny.

It's not a political party thing any longer. All governments seem hell bent on snooping into the minutiae of our lives. This would be funny if it weren't for the fact that to some extent it already happens here. Even my garbage bin has its own chip!

Just don't buy the ingredients from a supermarket. "Pepperoni? I see you purchased that just the other day from our downtown store sir. There's an addition $10 charge for double fatty goods in the same month........"

This one's been going around for a while, but it would be scary if were even partway true. The bit about knowing the man's health information, yikes....

There is a proposal here to introduce identity cards (to stop terrorism!). One of the things that they intend to keep on it is an individual's health records.......... Along with credit score, criminal record and a whole lot more.

We have privacy laws too. They allow the Government to know all about us but we can't know all about them.

The privacy laws over here would prevent at least some of that. The disclosure of health information at a minimum...

Unfortunately P1key I can see it happening in the future! George Orwell foresaw it in his book entitled 1984 which was published way back in 1949! Big Brother is Definitely watching and watching more and more every day it seems...scary isn't it?? XXXX

Frightening isn't it GEL. The worrying thing is that I think that it is happening right now.

Whats even more worrying to me P1key is that I Agree with YOU and having me agree with you is a very frightening thought!! In all seriousness though, I also believe it is happening now, not as bad as this...Yet! But I can see it happening in the future and I don't think that I am being overly paranoid! Big companies are now able to get their hands on even the most sensitive information about us and I can actually see it getting as bad as this video shows. After all, some countries are even trying to get it to where they can charge more for obese people to eat in fast food restaurants etc. and pretty soon the insurance companies are gong to latch on to the idea that If the person does not take reasonable care of themselves then they, the insurance companies, will try to find a way around paying the medical bills that the people rack up and with the information that is available now days to almost everyone this video is not all that far fetched!

It is so scary. I can not imagine living a life like this. It can happen if we have chip and national ID. Hope they are going to quit and forget about national ID.

That's what we're hoping for here too. But I'm not holding my breath.

It is still working, at least for me Steph. It's a video in which the pizza clerk knows EVERYTHING about the customer from central databases. It's quite a scary concept.

Hi p1key, This is very scary, its Big Brother Watching and listening to you, its a good thing I don't like pizza or order any take-outs, but you with all this, why can't they find crimnals quickly? but they are too ready to snoop in everybody's business. I going to hide, lol! Tamara
