what should we do if a student interested in sports than studies?

Education is the best foundation be given to him. It will be used for his lifetime. Sports is an extra curricular activity that can be a field of interest but not lifetime. You need still education if you will engage in sports career for long. Give him the choices, Studies and sports are package or studies only. Explain him your thoughts. Tell him that if he was injured and can no longer do sports? what will be now if he has no education? make him realize that. Open talk is needed for him to understand your points.

this is pretty easy no school or bad grades no sports at all. when my son was in school and wanted to play sports i told him keep your grades up and you can play sports, if you cant keep your grades up then no sports

Freedom is the key to succeed! Let him do whatever he interest to, give him a chance to explore but guide him in as much as you can. Let him understand how important is education.Give some few examples, like successful icon through education.

bhardwaj, it never happen those we wants and i think its his life why more compel him to studies.may be in the future he become a sportsman.you know when i am in school i really felt that why my friends like all other activities than study but really it doesn't matter.may be he become a cricketer or basket ball champion.so never put more burden in his small shoulder's.ok
