To make it unique, it's good to earn money online for a cause. What cause? Like, for instance, Children's literacy. Kids as young as 3 to 8 go online to play violent games. Or, most of them spend hours and hours on TV leaving less time for meaningful learning.
If there was a way to earn money online by giving kids fun, adventure, plus great improvement in reading, vocabulary, grammar, analysis, good values, Geography, Science, Arts, and creativity, would you do it?
Remember, most parents will buy anything that will benefit their kids, like benefit them intellectually. So, it should be very easy to sell something like this online--as easy as social networking! I have some interesting ideas like this on my profile.

Are you talking from a sellers standpoint? Saying that marketing things online and having them sold from online sites, earning you money, but these things being for the benefit of children? I think that said things would not be so much a cause, as just an earning niche.
A cause to me is something that costs you time and effort, but gives money to a charitable organization in the benefit of people and animals.

Well, some companies donate part of their profits to charitable institutions or schools. This way, everybody's happy.
