Who Saw The Avatar Movie?

This was my first time to watch a movie twice in cinema. At first, we weren't able to see the beginning of the story because we were kind of late. So we watched it all over again on IMAX the second time. We were kind of shocked since we thought that purchasing a ticket won't be so hard BUT we were wrong! Tickets should be reserved first and must be bought ahead of time because it was always sold out even on its second week.
On my case, I am really amazed by the story line, special effects and everything in between and I'm curious where did James Cameron pulled the idea. Hmm...
How about you fellow mylotters? What did you think of this movie? Did you watched it on IMAX as well? What scenes amazed you? I will be looking forward for your answers. Take care! "I see you".

I like the movie as well. I remember leaving the movie and being amazed at how much time had passed. That movie to me seemed to have a good pace and really was imaginative. One thing I did not like was the foreshadowing they did with the big flying creature and then as one of my friends said about that part the other night, "none of the other people thought that the biggest predator of the sky never bothered to look up?"The scene I liked was the part where he was going to get his first flying creature to let him connect with it and he had to make it fly. Haha...Creature-screeching...Main character-"shut up and fly straight **** it!"I wish I got to watch it at an IMAX it must of been amazing.

Hello tap.
Your review is so far is one of the best review i've read. But i agree to the main character since Turok Makto really does not look up so Jake had this theory that he should attack him on his blind spot. Well i guess every creature has its own weakness right? Well in my case, i love it all! I just wonder if it'll have a part two. Hopefully it won't lose the magic we felt on the first one though. James Cameron is a very great director. I'd be looking forward on his films from now on.
Pretty bad that you didn't watch it on IMAX though.

I haven't watched this movie yet. But this movie is already very popular now. I know that next Monday there is a promotion in the cinema nearby my home. I will see whether I can buy the discount tickets. If so, I would like to watch this movie.

I also saw Avatar 2 times once with my friends and then with my family.I saw the movie in IMAX dome with my friends and got amazed what good special effects have been done and when I came out of the cinema hall told my other friends also to watch the movie. Then when I came home told my family how good the movie is and they decided to go for the movie and I thought its another chance to watch the movie and I went for the movie with my family. But I would say it is worth to watch it 2 times as the story line is also good and the creatures he build in pandora is simply incredible.

Hello roy.
Welcome to mylot! Yes indeed. The creatures were very unique with a different color skin tone which makes it more unusual. The ancient rituals and other stuff were just so cool and the bond they create to the animals. It really is a must-see movie for all of us even the kids. Thanks for leaving your comments my friend, take care!

I saw this movie too. I like it, and it was about 3 hours long I guess. I love the story line, more like an English man fall in love with an indian girl kind of story. It was taken to a new level. A human fall in love with an alien now. I would want to watch it in 3D.

Hello kingparker.
My sister said it was more like a Pocahontas story which never crossed my mind til she said her opinion. All those aliens have a very slim body with no fat whatsoever that makes it more incredible. Taming an animal isn't so hard as well. So living in Pandora is so hard to resist! Please be free to watch it in anywhere you want. Take care!

I saw the movie about a week ago with a friend who said that the movie was amazing. Actually everyone were saying that the movie was really great so I kind a expected who knows what so when I finally got to see the movie I wasn't amazed at all. I mean the movie is great, the battle among Europeans and Indians that was taking its place in future...at least I interpret the movie that way...was really interesting, the movie itself was really great but I guess I missed the WOW effect that was taken away from me by all the pre-talk I got from my friends.

Hello lorelai,
That's the interpretation of other critiques too! It was featured on Yahoo news last time so a took time to read and they said it has something to do with Africans and Europeans.
Oh, really? It took the thrill out of you, right? Well in my case, i was not even aware of the trailer so i got really really really amazed by the plot. It's like my eyes were twinkling with every scene that happened. So next time, don't ask if its beautiful and go watch it yourself.
Thanks for leaving your comments though. You are the very first one wasn't amazed by the movie.

Yes, I did see it. I watched it at an IMAX theater and I am so glad that I did it was more like being at an event then a movie. The special affects were just amazing. I highly recommend every one spend a couple of extra bucks and see it on IMAX. I thought the ending fight scene was really cool and when they first were flying over the planet and the water fall. Did one of your eyes go dark for a second towards the end? That was really wierd.

Hello ladym.
We have the same feeling about this movie! It's just oh so magical right? But sorry i did not notice the darkness your describing. Maybe that was the part where Jake was about to be reborn with his Na'vi body. Because he has to undergo with this neurologic path, right? Or maybe just a film error. But i just hope you enjoyed the film.

I watched this movie on the 24th of December. Its probably the best action movie I have ever seen and probably the best action movie ever. The special effects were amazing. I heard somethere that James Cameron had this idea even before titanic, but he waited till the 3D technology improved and its paid off. I think it will be the highest earner in a few weeks time.

Hello tripper, Ü
I agree to what you've said. I heard the same news as well but watched it a little bit earlier than you. We watched it last December 23 in a regular theater. Then the second time, we watched it on IMAX to fully enjoy the visual effects. Well all i can say is, it really is worth it! After few days of rejection due to sold out tickets. Anyway, do you have any favorite scenes? Feel free to leave your comments. Take care!
