What are your views on the death penalty? Do you think it is okay when people commit certain crimes or is it never okay. I think it is okay for murderers and anyone who hurts children, and rapists. Other than that I think maybe people can be rehabilitated. But it does also bother me how much of our tax dollars go into prisons also. Well a lot of they way the world works bothers me but what is your view?
Is the death penalty okay in some instances or never?

People who have committed murder should not be pardoned. They deserved to be thrown to the fire of hell. No second thoughts about it as they have taken innocent life who could have lived a fruitful life if they did not meet their fate in the hands of the murderer. Giving them a chance will mean more crimes as they will surely revert to their old habits. A leopard doesn't change its spots.

I believe in some cases these people might deserve life in prison instead. But definitely for a serial killer, or someone who has murdered a child they should die.

I agree with you. I used to work in a prison and I used to work in a jail. There are some people that are soooo evil that society needs them gone.

Well a lot of people agree with this. I have noticed except for those of certain religious beliefs and what not.

On a first offence, no. Simply because there are too many innocent people going to prison. Now someone who repeatedly commits the same crime, over and over and over. Like rape, murder, serial killers, child molesters, the repeat offenders of serious crimes. They're obviously not going to be rehabilitated, we're just giving them free room and board till their next spree. They get their jollies, go to prison, their victims remain tainted the rest of their lives (or their relatives), and then they get out again when the money gets tight. Get rid of them. Save the taxpayers money. Protect the innocent.
Why is society so concerned over 'giving the rapist a second chance' but they don't give a damn about all his victims. After all, 'they asked for it.' I absolutely go berserk when I hear that crap.

Yes I agree also. Glad we are all seeing eye to eye so far. I think they should have a special torture place for anyone who rapes, molests, or kills a child.

i agree with your views.actually i think that someone make error could not be excused.because murderers dont think about their penalty hurt innocent people and gave them left deeply suffering.so murderers should be punished with dealth penalty.it is good way to give innocent people good account.

I believe this is really personal. I am a pro-life person and I do believe that everyone deserves the chance to change. Besides, religion-based wise, it is up to God to take one's life, and not one that is decided by a panel of jury or law. Yes, it is true that it is taking tax money of the people but at the end of the day, I believe that majority of those who occupy the prisons is of those who have committed other crimes too.
No doubt that my view above is one that we should spare the lives of murderers. However, as said, it is a personal view. I think when I face a situation where my closed ones are victims (I pray not), perhaps my view may change. It is hard to say.
So, for now, I am going to keep to my opinion of sparing one's life.
