Having a true best friend is something that really takes alot of time, effort and history to attain. Its not merely that you have known someone for a long time, but that you have both spent alot of time together to build the history between you. I have a best friend that I have known since high school. We Have known eachother going on 20 years, and have experienced a lot of things together. Some of those things were good, and some bad, some were crazy, dangerous, and stupid. While others were just bonding experiences that go along with spending time with people and really getting to know all about that person. My best friend and I are now separated by 250 miles in distance from where each other live, and don't get to see each other that often anymore. However, When we do its as if we were never separated at all. We can go several months without talking to eachother, and pick right back up from where we left off when we do. We can talk about anything at all or nothing in particular at any given moment and enjoy the time spent together regardless of what were doing. I think those are the qualities that you should have in a friendship to call someone your best friend.

I never choose my friends. I think the last one who together with me when you're in trouble is my best fiends withour a doubt. And fortunately ,I've already had two.
I like to stay with them, and talk with them. They can share happiness and sorrow me. The most importance is we can talk something that only we understand it.

Best friend is not something you can choose... it is just happen, and it is about the feeling between you and your friend. Best friend has to do a lot and be there for friend... I mean sharing is the best part of it. She/he can't look down or try to talk behind friend's back either... you know what i mean

A best friend is the one who you can always count on. He or she call you when they don't hear from you. You never hear where they have been talking behind your back, and they do, it's always good things about you.
They are alway dependable.

We can't choose our best friends normally. A person is not be able to know that who will be his best friend. Actually this matter is totally about mind. A person can't say that I will make you as my best friend. Best friend is like love. The relation comes after a long time spending with that person. I never know that Ayan will be my best friend. But day by day we get open to each other and share our problems and solutions. This way a relation came into Best friend.

Hi. I would really love to have a best friend that I dream of. There are few criteria that should be take note for being my best friend.
-He/she must be the one that doesn't care from where did I come from either I'm from a rich or poor family background.
-He/she must always be there when I needed someone to express my feelings.
-He/she must be the one that will support me when it is time of decision making.
I didn't ask a lot from my best friend except for those three criteria but until now I'm still cannot find one. Are you the one? :

I agree with everyone else. Best friends happen rather than you just picking one. Plus, best friends does not even mean hanging out all the time. I only see one of my best friends maybe once a month not even, but no matter what we know we are there for each other. And when we hang out, it's like we didn't miss a beat.
