Hi! I am a graduate of psychology and luckily I landed in a job related to it, but somehow I felt that it is not really the job for me, so I resigned. Now I'm just wondering how many mylotters had taken up the course psychology in college? Were you able to graduate with that degree? What were your reasons for choosing that course and after graduation were you able to find a job related to that? If yes, are you enjoying it?

Hello. I took some psychology course in college. Those were as electives only. I did not major in psychology. But, I very much appreciated the value of the psychology course I took. The professor was very good in teaching and guiding the students. It did not become the line of work after graduation. But, it certainly was very helpful in understanding the behaviors of friends and co-workers. Did you see it that way too ?

Hi greenline.. Yes, I agree on that part. I used to have office mates who are often misunderstood by many, but somehow I understand them and I get along with them better..

Hi Mebgem. Right now I am doing my undergraduate with Psychology, Sociology, and Philosophy as combination. For postgraduate, I think I will concentrate on Psychology and take Clinical Psychology as my major. So far, studying Psychology is very fun and interesting, as we deal with human being, not with abstracts number or imaginative substances.

I took it in hopes of getting a job as a Social Services Worker; funny thing is I haven't worked in the field but briefly. For the most part, it was because of not having a car, now it's because I am scared. But I want to get in and do the thing. I feel I can be a help to people if need be.

I didn't take psychology, but I always wanted to. I was kind of discouraged from doing it by my family who were worried that it wouldn't lead to a good job, and I suppose I was a bit worried about that myself. But then I saw my friends who'd done psychology were able to find great jobs, whether they were in the psychology field or not; the fact of it was that just having a degree was enough to get lots of jobs, no matter what your subject had been. Ironic eh? And now, 15 years later I still have an ambition to study psychology. I'm looking into doing it remotely, so I can work around family commitments. I'm quite excited about it. Of course I don't know what I'll do afterwards, hopefully I'll find some kind of related job, but it's more the thirst for learning it that's motivating me at the moment! I hope you find the job that you want and enjoy doing.

My friend took up and graduated the same course as yours and somehow he is now taking his second course... I was actually wondering why because I find psychology interesting... But I do understand that it's not a very easy job either...
