That sound like so much fun. I will have to try that. I just suggested to my boyfriend we went for a walk under umbrellas but he just rolled his eyes and gave me a weird look, then stated laughing. I guess he is more for the hot chocolate part. Thanks for your response, I will have to take that walk with my sister or a friend.

I love thunderstorms. If the lights go out I would watch the storm!

Unfortunately we weren't able to watch movies yesterday because there were so many lightnings and thunders that we unplugged everything, even TV after the electricity went out 2 times for a second or two but just enough to turn off the TV. We bought a new TV last month it is a 37'' inched LCD and my Dad paid quite a lot for it so we unplugged it.
About 4 months ago a thunder friend my router as I wasn't at home to unplug it, so since then we unplug everything at a first sight of a thunder.

I always keep so many assignments in hand like cleaning almirahs, house, kitchen, cooking some specials, making cooking powders, extra side dishes, stitching, reading etc.. Depending upon the time and priorities, I do things. When it is raining, usually I make some deep fry things like bujji, bonda, pakoda etc. which you can find in Indian restaurants there and my family will be very happy to munch them in that weather. Then I will look after some pending work.

Since I catch cold very soon and it will not go for a month, I am careful to go out during rainy season and winter. Unless it is necessary, I will not leave the house.

When it is raining I try not to leave the house. I have a physical handicap and can't run and I use crutches or a walker so I can't hold an umbrella. If I were to go out in the rain I would get soaked and I don't like to come home with all wet clothes. The only time I will go out in the rain is if I have a doctors appointment that will charge me if I don't go. Wind is really hazardous as it doesn't take much to blow me over. When it is raining or windy I usually just stay home and watch TV, read, or am on the computer. It is kind of nice to think you don't have to do anything and it's out of your hands.

I understand that rain and wind can create problems, even for 100% healthy people. I know when my grandma hurt her leg and had to had an operation she wasn't leaving the house because it was difficult to walk and she would even cancel a doctor appointment if it was raining because she just couldn't manage with the crutches and umbrella and the slippery streets although she had maybe 20m to walk to the car as my grandpa would drive her everywhere.

It is hard enough going anywhere if your disabled. Even though the handicapped spaces in the US are close to the door of the building. I cancel also if I can.

I also like rainy day, but just when I don't have to leave the house. Here where I live sometimes we have rain plus strong wind so I buy a new umbrella at least 3 or 4 times a year, but even more usually, plus there's no way you can stay dry if you have to walk.
It isn't windy each time it rains but very often.

Raining in your place, snowing in Chicago...and snowing...and snowing.
Hard to drive, not easy to walk. If I have a choice, rain makes life easier than snow.

Yeah, I agree, it was snowing here too about 3 weeks ago, it haven't been snowing here for about 10 years, and the last time there was so much snow was 50 years ago so we aren't even prepared for snow. It was difficult to walk, it took them 2 days to clean the roads because it never snows here so they weren't expecting that, it was really terrible. I have seen snow several times in my life so I was rather happy to see it was snowing but I was sick and tired of it the second day already because it made life much more difficult.

The place where I live seldom have rain, and when it comes I enjoy it fully. I prefer enjoying the nature as compared to sitting in the room watching TV. But yes if in my place rain would have occurred that much then I would definitely do as like you do because that is when the joy of rain fades away.

Well I believe you, here it rarely rains during the summer so all the crops are dry and we all want the rain but then autumn and winter arrive and it rains often, we've been having 2 weeks of rain, rain and rain only, it really isn't fun any more...especially because because today was raining so much that everything is flooded.

I love to stay in my pajamas, put up a roast or a hearty soup or stew on the stove, turn the lights low, light some candles, and watch movies while lounging on the sofa. I rarely get the chance since I work 7 days a week, but I remember when I could...ah - the memories...

Yes, 7 days a week sucks - but that is the travel industry. I am in it too. Hot chocolate sounds good even now. It is sure cold here.

What I do during days really depends on my mood and where I am located. So let's say I am just at home and the rain is during the day and it is hard, most of the time, I would go out and play with the rain. If my cousins, nephews and nieces would be there, they would also come out from the house and play with me (I'm missing those times since they are schooling). If not that, I would be sleeping in my bedroom with the electric fan facing me. I'm sure you would be telling me that that would be so cold. Yeah! That we would really be so cold and I love it. I just don't know why. Maybe it just proves that I am hot-blooded mammal. Haha!
But if there are instances that I am on my way out of the house or I am dressed formally or semi-formally then it would rain? Ugh! I really hate that! I would just go to a certain place (like malls, restaurants, fast foods) that I won't get wet.

When I was little my mother never used to let me go out when it was raining so I don't have similar memories, unfortunately, I was playing with kids a lot in our back yard as we lived in a building so there were more kids there, but still as soon as it started raining my mother would call us and make us go in the house. I think she was afraid we caught a cold.

There are other children who have not experience this as well. But if the time comes when I will have my own kids, I would also let them experience playing in the rain. I am just lucky that my mom and I mom are in the medical field, since we know when and when not go in the rain to play.

It's not much of a difference for me if it rains. Because even when it doesn't, I still stay at home. Not that I don't wanna go out (in fact, I want to explore outdoors), it's just I don't have anything to do outside. My friends are all busy, and our family has just relocated so I don't have neighborhood friends here to hang out with. I don't wanna hit the mall alone as I don't even have money to go shopping. So on a rainy day, I do the same things. I surf a lot and watch movies online. I know I know, sounds pretty boring, but it doesn't for me.

I know what you mean, about a few years ago, when I finished all my courses at the University but I didn't feel like studying I had much time so I was spending the days the way you are. I didn't have much money so shopping was out of the question so the computer was the best thing to keep me company.

I won't leave house if it's not urgent. Walking in the rain will make me feel lonely and bleak. But stangely, I like watching rain. It seems that all of my troubles will disappear like the rain one day.
But I really know that if the rain lasts too long, the life will become less colorful because no outdoor activities are permitted.
Blessings.

I like to watch the rain too but of course trough the window from my room, or anywhere in my house, it calms me down. My sister doesn't mind the rain, she doesn't even run if we are walking home from somewhere and it starts raining while you will rarely see me not running under the rain...without an umbrella, of course.

In rainy days I usually watch TV or movies, staying at home and feeling sad. I don't like rainy days at all. And that's why I enjoy staying at home. But when it's necessary I have no choice and go out. But it depends on the day, you know! If something good happens to me it doesn't matter if it's rainy or not.
