I had a boyfriend for 2 years. But after that we got both busy and never saw each other for more than a month. When we met, he treat like I'm not his girlfriend. After that we broke up. After 1 year we accidentally meet each other. We are both not in a relationship. He courted me again. I didn't know what to do. What if what happened before happens again? But what if love is sweeter the 2nd time around. Is that true?

Hello feevjune! you know what your post really caught my attention because I can related to your situation. My first boyfriend was when I was in 3rd year h.s.We were together for 3 years but we have a long distance relationship. We saw each other every summer and that's it.3 years were filled with memories of love letters through snail mail and limited talk time over the phone since it's the only way of communication way back then.Until for so many reasons I've decided to end it up with him.He still keep on trying to win me back but I always decline. Until such time we both found love with other people.I had 3 and he had 1 for 12 years.I don't know if it's a sign of destiny that in every broke relationship that I had he still kept on asking me back even if he's with other girl but I always turn him down. Then at the end I broke up with my third boyfriend. There he goes again. He courted me and I asked myself why not gave him a another chance?Nothing to loose. And unknowingly my heart felt the love that I'm looking for a long time. It's him I wanted all along. But why do I need to be broken for so long to feel the real love. It's maybe because you will never appreciate something until it's gone. And now where married with our 3-month old baby boy.See?How destiny plays its role in our lives.I'm not telling you to go on and be back together.my point is observe,be patient and be ready to whatever outcome your decision may bring.Because you will learn from it.It may be success it maybe failure.Just follow what your heart and mind feels.Goodluck.Update me of your love story.

We have the same experience. When we saw each other after two years we ask if we could get back with each other. At that time we were both in a relationship. I did not agree with him because I can't afford to hurt my bf who has been so good to me. Right now we are friends. He has a gf and I have a bf. I heard they are planning to get marry this year. If that would happen I'll be happy for him because he has truly find the one destined for him. As for me I also happy because my bf has been very supportive of me. I feel that God gave him to me. As to where this story is going, only God knows. Thanx for responding.

Nope i really don't believe in the saying "love is sweeter the second time around". Because there are no guarantees that the one you love wont commit the same mistakes again.

I believe in this saying because I have experienced it before. It is sweeter because the guy realized your worth when you were gone in his life. That's why he wants you back. You should give it another try. I have to warn you though. Even if love is sweeter the second time around, it doesn't mean that the two of you will end up together automatically. My relationship with this guy became sweeter when I gave him another chance. But later on, it is me who had issues. That's why we broke up eventually. But I did not regret the second chance on our love because it was so romantic. I'll never forget him.
