Would you like to communicate with people in writing?

I like writing to my daughter, my husband and my friends. It can be in hard copies, through emails, blogs or sms. I found it easier to express myself in writing rather than saying it out, as when I write I can think it over and over, so the words that I use will be nicer. However, my husband said, it is not so good to communicate in writing, as people might take the black and white so seriously, like an evidence of something. What do you think?

I like writing, and you're right - while writing, we can really think over what we're about to say! It gives us more time to better express ourselves - than talking on the phone, which is rushed and you obviously don't have time to sit there and eloquently express yourself. Another thing I love about giving & receiving letters is that you can physically keep them, save them, and re-read them. You of course can't do this with a phone call, and sometimes it's harder to do this with an email or instant message over the internet. I will occasionally write my friends letters, but not very often. Only when I feel so motivated. But I'm going to start writing my sister - who will be studying in Sweden for 5 months.. starting in 5 days from now. I think it will be nice to hear from her and hear from me since she'll be on the other side of the world for such a long period of time.
