Do you prefer to work or stay home to be a full time mom? I am a working mother, I go home to my 3month old baby, I get guilty sometimes seeing my baby in a babysitter's care, but I have to pay the bills.. but during our "us' time, I make sure I shower him with all my love and care..

I work part- time and have found this to be the best medium. I get that much needed adult time that work can offer but I also get more time with my kids then a full time working mom. I love it and would suggest any mom that wants more time with her kids to try to make it work if they could.

I prefer being a mom with part-time job or home-based job as i can manage my shcedule.yes, sometimes mom works because economy is hard and we can`t rely only on our hubby..

I hated working outside the home when my kids were young. It broke my heart when my oldest son's babysitter told me that my son's first teeth had come in when I was at work. But, not long after that, I found work I could do from my home, typesetting and proofreading medical journals and textbooks. I did that for about 20 years and loved working from home because I was there with my kids, earning money to pay the bills and I could take time off any time I needed to in order to take my kids to doctor's visits or when they were sick, etc. It was the best of both worlds. That industry dried up when the companies I sub-contracted with began sending their work overseas to save money (or to make more money) but my kids were grown by then so I got a job working outside the home.

I'm right there with you. When my 2, now 3 and 8, were babies, I felt bad. I hated leaving them with someone else to go to work, but like you said...bills need to be paid and some of us don't really have an option.

In the last 2.5 years since I became a mother I have worked part-time away from home, part-time from home and most recently unemployed. I certainly enjoy being a stay-at-home mom. I would love to be able to continue that, however, we also need the money. My husband and I thus far have worked out a way with our jobs to share childcare duties. We have only briefly used outside childcare and we would love to not have to do it again. We are incredibly lucky to be able to do this because it is such a wonderful experience for my kids and for me. That is all you can do is shower them with all your love when you are together. That is what my husband does when he is not working!
