Has anyone had any dealings with Kaplan University Online? I became a student this past summer while I was healing from a bad back injury. I decided to go back to college and get my degree in Medical Transcribing. Up until the last 2 months, I have had no issues with them. I had to borrow quite a bit in student loans and took out another loan for expenses. I was due one of my expense checks in December. I never recieved it even thou the University has credited my account with this money. In fact, when I called, I was told by the financial aide office that it was not in my account. When I pointed out that, according to what is posted on my student account, they received this money on the 18th of December. This person than switched gears and said that they are "really backed up right now". My fighting with them has gone on now for about 2 weeks for this money. Anyone out there have any deals with them or know of anyone who did?

I've never applied at any university be it on or offline, Nana. Strangely thou, I get calls from quite a few wanting to follow up on my applications..Last nite was an example. I just played dumb and and said no one in the household has ever applied for any college. I didn't even confirm that they were talking to me. I dunno, girl...sounds like this university is in financial trouble and just trying to keep what money they can get thru deceiving and run-a-rounds. Wish you all the best in getting this all straightened out.
