you could no longer hear it? On other words, if you lose your hearing, what sound would you miss the most? These are some of mine:
"the sound of rain tapping against the window, the sounds of birds chirping to greet the morning sun, lover's moans and screams of ecstasy, the sound of my farts, the sound of the ocean's waves, the sound of music, the sound of my love ones screaming and laughing".
How about your? what will you miss the most?

...Hi Fulltank, You are crazy. :o) Every last sound that I hear I would miss. I am really not interested in that beautiful song, "the sound of silence". Can you just imagine, waking up one morning and you hear nothing? I keep my television on most nights, all night long, I know, waste of electricity, it's my sleeping pill. So when I wake up, I hear the sound of the tv. Sometimes, the electric will go off during the night, storm or something, and I wake up to silence, scary until I orient myself and realize that the electric is off. You keep your bearing with your hearing, you could actually fall down, because of that inner ear thing, if you can't hear. Distressing, I want to hear all the sounds that occur. I would definitely miss every one of the everyday sounds. Take care.

I would surely miss is the sounds of my beloved family voice as i love to have conversation with them their laughter, their endearing call, the sounds of music and of course the sound which the nature produces. I love to hear sounds even the noise amaze me so it would really be a lonely world to live if the sounds is absence in our lives. Hearing sounds symbolizes life to its fullest as they are music to my ears, they inspires and evokes different emotions..

Hi, Fulltank. The sounds that I would miss would be the sounds of my kids playing and calling me, mommy. I would miss the sounds of the light wind as it blows outside. I would miss my favorite songs that I love listening to on the radio or the Internet. I would miss my husband, calling me baby. I would miss anyone just calling me by my first name.

Losing my hearing would be an absolutely horrible thing. In fact there are few things that I think could be worse. I'm sure there are a couple worse things but really, given someone who enjoys listening to music as much as I do, losing my hearing would be an awful thing. In fact, with that fact in mind, losing my hearing would be the absolute dirt worst thing that could happen to me. I would really miss listening to music. An awful thing that I hope never happens.

I think that if I could no longer hear the sounds that I'd miss most would include: my frends and my family. Their voices and hearing them mean a lot to me. I definitely would first feel at a loss if I first could no longer hear, but then I'd just learn more sign language and could communicate once more!

I play the piano, and am very affectionate with sound. I would REALLY miss the sound of the piano; the resonance of the strings, everything about it. I will miss music, because it is really something that clears the mind and pleasures the soul.
Last, I will miss the sound of the birds chirping on a nice day.
If i lost my hearing, i'd lose it...

I think I wuld miss all the music I love to listen to, it relaxes me and makes me happy. I also think I would miss my boyfriend's voice and those I love.
I do NOT think I would miss the sound of telephones ringing and other annoying sounds... The phone at work constantly rings and we are always pretty busy so that gets annoying, but I do think I would miss even basic general sounds, as I love the sense of hearing and am grateful I have all my senses.

There was this little boy my neighbour who when he was a tiny boy would bellow out two words 'Oh Laila" in his baby lisp quite a number of times in the day. I miss that terribly as they have shifted.

"the sound of my farts" ahahahahaha!!! Good one. I would miss my boys' voices and laughter. Even their cries and whining. I would miss the sounds of a thunderstorm or my long talks on the phone with my mom or even my husbands deep baritone voice.
There are so many things that I would miss, it's hard to just pick one!

I would miss the sound of my husband's voice as it is soft, gentle and hardly ever used in anger. I would also miss the sound of my cat's purr and the roar of the crowd when Carlisle United score a goal!
