Hi mdvarghese,I think the common reasons in back pain,is because of over fatigue. You need enough rest.Linement oil can helps a lot in relieving back pain.Just massage oil into your back. Have a nice day,Good Luck!

I agree that it is a signal we are so tired that our bodies are telling us we need to take a rest.
Massage also is good, whenever my back pain, I would ask my family help on giving massage on my back, it does help.

Maybe you are tired, maybe it is the result of bad posture and many other factors. For me, I am stressed as well, I know my back pain is caused by stress, I couldn't help, I will do some relaxing exercises and it helps a bit.

From someone who suffers from severe back pain I would say that this could be down to poor posture, you may be slumping slightly when sitting and so putting pressure on the muscles in the back. Which is why walking relieves it.
What you can do is to work on your posture, making sure you sit upright and your chair offers the proper support for your back, plus make sure that if you use a computer the screen is in line with your eyes rather than below the eyeline.
Something else would be to work on the core muscles, those around the lower back as this will help you maintain the correct posture.

Causes of Back Pain
Lumbar Muscle Strain
Muscle strains are the most common cause of low back pain. Patients may or may not remember the initial event that triggered their muscle spasm, but the good news is that most episodes of back pain from muscle strains resolve completely within a few weeks.
Ruptured Disc
A ruptured intervertebral disc, also called a herniated disc, is another common cause of back pain. How to treat the back pain from a herniated disc depends on the particular individual and situation.
Discogenic Back Pain
Discogenic back pain is thought to be a common cause of low back pain. Discogenic back pain cis the result of damage to the intervertabral disc, but without disc herniation. Diagnosis of discogenic back pain may require the use of a discogram.
Spinal Stenosis
Spinal stenosis causes back pain in the aging population. As we age, the spinal canal can become constricted, due in part to arthritis and other conditions. If the spinal canal becomes too tight, back pain can be the result.
Lumbar Spine Arthritis
Arthritis most commonly affects joints such as the knees and fingers. However, arthritis can affect any joint in the body, including the small joints of the spine. Arthritis of the spine can cause back pain with movement.
Spondylolisthesis
Spondylolisthesis causes back pain because adjacent vertebra become unstable and begin to "slip." The most common cause of spondylolisthesis is due to degenerative changes causing loss of the normal stabilizing structures of the spinal column. If the spine becomes unstable enough, back pain can become a problem.
Osteoporosis
Osteoporosis can cause a number of orthopedic problems and generalized discomfort. Back pain from osteoporosis is most commonly related to compression fractures of the vertebra. Osteoporosis causes weak bones and can lead to these fractures.

It could be becouse your lower back is overworked. Saying so, we are not built to sit for long time,so...
But back to my first thought. If your core is weak, and (if you sit a lot) your bum muscle are not working properly(they are lazy muscle),and your hamstring gets shorter ( becouse of sitting for long time),then all the work is down to your lower back.
Strenghten your core muscle, your glutes muscle, and stretch and strengthen your hamstring. That should get your back stronger.
It did work for my client who had really bad back and was in a lot of pain every morning. Not any more.
