Hi, is it safe to wander alone in populated areas, like Sharm el-sheikh, where there are many tourists?
Is most of the accomodation walking distance or how big is the Sharm el-sheikh area? because i found some travel specials with unspecified accomodation.
And in Cairo, going on a tour to the pyramids, are most tour operators respectable and it is it safe, and what should it cost?
Thanks :)

Egypt is am Islamic country so there might be some comments given by the local men. A foreign lady there should dress in a conservative way making sure her arms and legs are covered in Cairo. The pyramids are situated in Giza, a short bus trip from Cairo. Sharm El Sheilk is a popular tourist resort town. It is safe there in the day time but I would advise to be back the accommodation after dark. I traveled to Israel and Jordan alone and wish I had come down to Egypt as well on that trip. Egypt is fairly safe but sometimes issues occur. It is safer than Israel and I was happy to go there. I would be happy to take my children on a trip to Egypt but I would watch the food and drink.

I'm sorry I have no idea about answers to your question. But it sounds great that someone travels alone in Egypt. Recently, I learn something about pyramid and really do want to have a look~~~~~~~~
