Do you think people wearing glasses looks good or looks funny?

Hi, wildlittlefan. I wear glasses and I think I look pretty with them on. I would prefer contact lenses any day now. But wearing these can be very uncomfortable. I like the different colors that they offer. When I was younger I used to be so ashamed to wear my glasses in public. Anytime that I would go somewhere, I would take my glasses off. I feared that someone would pick at me. I thought that I looked dorky. My grandmother bought me a pair that was so big in frames. They looked like old grandma glasses. I even took a school photo in them too. I saw the picture of me and I was very ashamed! I hope that I never will have to wear something that big on my face again! Now, I wear my glasses with pride! Glasses only look funny on a person if the glasses does not fit their face. And if the glasses frames lenses are too big. Other than that, glasses can make a person look intelligent and well educated.

I think with the right frames people do look good wearing glasses. As you found out not a good idea to wear them if you do not need them. Most people who wear glasses do not like too. So, it's kind of surprising to find someone who does not need them wanting to wear them. Have a great day.

I have always feel I look better with glasses. Some people do look good but some are really funny. Perhaps it is due to the frame that is one the face.

Well, I think wearing glasses is cool although it's a little bit inconvenient. I wore glasses since I was in junior high school and I don't think it's funny. On the other hand, you can just take it as an accessory.

Some people just look good in glasses and others don't. Seems that people that need to wear glasses don't want to and the ones that don't have to wear them, want them.

hi wildlittlefan, well when i was young ,i was fascinated to wear spectacles.and later on i got them.even still i wear them but now i am sick of wearing spectacles,literary bored of them.there is an assumption that people who wear specs seem to be intelligent and knowledgable though that isnt true.

My friend it all depends on persons personality some peoples looks good with glasses while some looks so funny because of their physical appearance. We should always go for the fashion which suits our personality. As you said you have realized that they dont suit you so you left them, i think this is a good decision. I occasionally wear glasses and my friends tell me that they looks cool with me. I have 2 pairs of glasses and i have uploaded my pics here also with my glasses. I use them but not on regular basis only on some good get to gathers.

Yes, it is quite correct that if you wear eye glasses when your eyesight is good, it can weaken your vision. When I was a kid I was constantly trying to put on my parent's eye glasses and they were warning me that if I kept doing it, my eyesight would deteriorate. Fortunately for me I stopped doing it and had a lifetime of good eyesight until I was 50 years old, and then had to start wearing glasses just for reading. - Derek

You could have worn sunglasses and that would have helped your vision outdoors on sunny days. I had to wear glasses from the 4th grade on because I can't see far. I can see near. So I'm near-sighted. For people who really don't need glasses because their eyes are shaped correctly but the muscles are working wrong (possibly your case), there are eye exercises that a person can do and possibly get their eyes back to normal. You should check and see if such an eye doctor exists where you are and if your eyeball is the correct shape. Take care

I think your nuts for wanting to wear glasses when you didnt need them. You have actually ruined your eyes by wearing them needlessly. You deserve that. Ive had to wear them since i was young. I wish i can go out and buy 20/20 vision eyesight.

I think it depends on the type of glasses that could make a person look nice or goofy. I know ever since 3rd grade I have worn glasses. It first started out just needing reading glasses then my vision got worse that I had to wear them all the time. I had glasses that made look straight geeky or made my eyes look like owl eyes lol. Now I wear glasses that fit me better. I did try contacts once before but didn't like the upkeep and one time one of the contacts got caught badly in my eye.

I don't wear glasses except sunglasses,I don't like wear glasses bcz in my eyes it is a burden.My father wears glasses and things he always does is finding his glass here and there bcz forget where he left.

i don't wear glasses but my friend is wearing glasses from his child-hood.in his young age glasses will be big to his face.it looked funny :)i used to laugh and tease him seeing those photos.but now he is matured and totally he changed now.his glasses are highlight to his face,it really makes him to look good.

when i was young, i admire those movie star wear glasses especially "superMan".but when i in high school, i start to wear glasses, i feel very trouble and dun like it.But no choice, i need a better vision,cause i sit last row in the class.Right now i saving some money and plan to go for Lasik.

When I was little, I thought people who wore glasses were educated. Now I prefer people don't wear glasses because it look better. I think probably this is the main reason why contact lenses are invented:) I am near-sighted, but I seldom wear glasses unless I am watching TV etc. I love China

It depends on how a person carries his/her glasses.. Some people look good with glasses, some are not. I have a pair of glasses because I have a problem with my vision, however i do not wear it everyday because I'm not really comfortable with it and I do not like how I look with glasses. But I always carry it in my bag, because there are times when I am really having a hard time reading the signs on the streets.. =)

Spectacle suit for some and dont for everyone.Some look good in them.But not everyone.,Unless u had a vision problem its better u not go towards them.Some goggles are used to prevent the eyes from the sunlight when we be out or while driving .Its a care for the eyes.But fashion for eyes will definetly cause some trouble now or later.

wearing glasses for fashion is ok..but in case of compulsion like eye defects it's really pathetic...always to take care of your glasses first then anything else..some people wearing glasses look good and some are funny depends on body structure and model of glasses...

People with glasses definitely good, in glasses people look mature and people take them seriously. Now a days trendi glasses are available, using them makes man more fashionable and smart. We always get compliments for our glasses, but it must be not outdated. In outdated glasses people look funny. We have exapmle of Jonny depp and in India megastar Amitabh bachhan they looks really smart and cool with glasses. :)

I personally think women with glasses are especially sexy. Contacts, in my opinion, are not as good looking as the glasses. Glasses make women look very attractive. Big rimmed glasses though, are more slightly less attractive. So overall I would say they are good looking.
