For myself, I think I can know much about God by observing all the wonderful things that are in nature, and by realizing the most intricate and wonderful way things are ordered in the universe. Another way, is to observe people. We are so fragile, and yet so strong. And I feel I know something of God from the way he has worked in my personal life. Karen

The full form of GOD is Generator, Operator and Destructor as per the Hindu Mythology. God is Omni-potent, Omni-present, Helper and Guide always. You may not be able to see God but one thing is certain which I am telling you from my own experience. You can feel for yourself that God is with you in your hour of need provided you have full faith in Him. No doubt there are more than six billion human beings in the world but these human beings have been created by Him? We can't judge the attributes of God though Humility is said to be His foremost attribute. But I put one question for the readers: Can a child ever know who his real father is? The answer would be clear cut no. The answer lies in just your belief or what your mother might have told you. Then how you can know about God who is the creator of this whole world? A drop can't compare itself with the whole ocean and we the human beings, are just the droplets of a vast ocean.

Person's beliefs on god are based on other people's beliefs. And they are just that- believes. There's no way you can now

There are over 6 billion people in this world and each person has his or her own thoughts about god. Wait for lighting to strike? devote yourself to unselfish religious deeds? Become a better person so that god will accept you. In this diagram the arrows illustrate how we might try to reach god through our own efforts. We may try to do good things in life, or earn god's acceptance through a good life or a moral philosophy. But our good efforts are insufficient to cover up your sin.

My personal opinion is that for realising GOD, one need not be a worshipper, but ONE has to believe.

True, there is belief... but what should develop right after is FAITH. If you believe in your God/Gods, you would enrich yourself in knowing more about him/her/them once you have FAITH. Religion is void without Faith.

As I read your post A scripture came to mind Isaiah 66:1 "Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?" I think what God is in beyond our understanding. But I do have a personal experience to share. I am pentecostal, when I was tarrying for the holy ghost the day I received the baptism of speaking in tongues I had a vision. I was at once there with people around me and somewhere else also. In this other place I was in a endless sea or ocean and I felt as if waves were washing over me and I couldn't breath I kept fighting it and fighting to breath than I am not sure if someone said let go or if it just came to me but I did and I had the sensation of the waves rolling over me and into me and I began to speak in other tongues and felt that the water wasn't threatening but it was warm and soothing as if I was in my mothers safe embrace that I had forgotten a long time ago. I think God is real what God is I don't know but I have faith that one day I will be there again and have full understanding.

Forget everything you know or have been taught about God. You must search for God and discover on your own.Actions speak louder than words. The universe,world, and people are God's creations. Understand how it all does add up. You will be well on your way to understanding God.Sometimes those who search find what they search for.

Hi codeofuniverse. Well, you know me by now. Simply put: Committing to God through Christ and trusting the Holy Bible. Honestly, once one is in Christ and Christ is in them the Holy Bible comes alive and there are so many good things, many simple, some deep one learns about God. The learning is done not just with the Holy Bible, but actually fellowshipping with God through Christ.

Personally for me the concept of God is very personal. I belive that every person is basically longing for the oneness with his supernature. Even an Atheist has this basic instinct in him. It is Basic Human Desire to look for somthing supernatural. Since everybody is unique and personal the concept of God also may vary accourding to the capacity fo each individual's thinking power, education, experience, enviorment and so on. One can attribute to God any quality which is our limitation. For example we are not eternal we attribute God as He is Eternal. We are limited in power therefore we attribute super power to him. In the same way we attrtibut to him Omnipotent, Omniscience, omnipresence, omnibenevolence etc. In short we belive in Super natural God in different forms and names.
