myLot and Music

I use earphones when i do mylot, as my hub is playing world of warcraft with his friends online. That is desturbing. I love music and cannot do anything without listening to it, eccept when i'm at work. Even cleaning and doing the washing. It is if the music makes everything seem so easy. Enjoy listening to your favourate music.

Yes I can. Music make me enjoy. But, I can't write with rock music. It's disturb me anyway. I just can write with soft music and my favorite music.

I do all my writing either with classical music in the background, or on the television. It relaxes me enough to clear my mind and help me compose what I want to say. (Pardon the pun)

I can do both too. In fact, I need both, if not I'll be rather bored without any music around..

I like it. I'm doing it right now as a matter of fact. A country station. I can hear my writing thoughts over the music and find it can be motivating when writing my posts.

Hi! I actually think I do my best writing while listening to music! Altho I can end up writing MORE when I write without music. BUT, I prefer music, quality better than quantity, right? Fran429

It depends on the music and my mood. Sometimes I can write no matter what back ground noise is around and other times if there are other sounds at all I can't concentrate enough. If the music has really repetitive lyrics or a really repetitive beat then it will really get on my nerves and bother me and I won't be able to concentrate but I think I could write on a good day with decent music playing.

I always have some kind of background noise, either music or the television. I hate silence There are too many little noises to distract me when it's quiet.

It really depends on two things: what I am writing and what kind of music. Sometimes I can find just the right combination of the two and write well. But if what am writing takes extra thought then I have to either have no music or music without words. It has to be just right for the moment though!

I can do both at the same time without any trouble. I am currently listening to music from Spotify through my Headphones and I always listen to music when I use my PC whether I connect it to my Hifi or use Headphones.

Hi, Yes, I do listen to music when I write something. But sometimes I stop paying attention to it quite unknowingly. Especially, if I am totally engrossed in the subject matter, it seems that I can't hear other kinds of sounds, not even the music. But when the job is boring and quite ordinary, the music slows it down. I start singing with it or tapping the table etc and the writing is temporarily suspended. Take care God bless you all

You are great to writhing and listening to music at same time. But I don't know if you can write good thing then. If let me write unuseful article or music, I can do like you.

I usually watch tv, like right now i'm watching a movie while on here, when this is over, i'll probably put something else on and keep looking about what else i can do on here :)

We generally tend to switch on the music while working so that we do not get bored. The music is meant to make you concentrate and not to distract you. If you can do both listening to music and writing simultaneously then you have a great power of concentration. I am not able to do so because I am not having such good concentration.

I can write and listen to music, but I prefer for background noise only, though i also prefer quiet if I can get that. My husband is usually in our bedroom playing a game, and that doesn't bother me at all. I think that I do better when it's utterly quiet, but I'm not on here to earn lots, just to have fun.

I can write and listen to music (while singing). Its a challenge sometimes but its possible. Sometimes I falter because I concentrate more on one than the other. Like right now I am singing along to "Stay If You Wanna Stay" by Keith Urban while writing to you. I have to have music - I cant stand it being quiet! :)
