What impression comes to your mind when you hear of London? To me, London is a very sophisticated and elegant city whereby everything ranging from buildings, transportation systems, tourist spots, residential houses, shopping arcades etc. are all very uniquely built and decorated and also very well managed. I have not visited London before but I really hope to go there one day. Also, I believe music makes an important part in London's culture. How I wish I could visit London and experience music performances from well established classical groups and also music performed on streets. Even street performances are really superb from what I heard from friends. Have you visited London before? How do you feel about London? What are the memorable places that you have visited in London? What fascinates you most while you were in London?

To be honest, my impression of London is more or less the opposite of yours. It's overcrowded, the streets are filthy and I've found the people to be quite rude. It's a nightmare to drive around, parking costs a fortune and I find the Tube system hard to understand. Plus the fact that everything there seems to cost twice as much as in the more civilised parts of the country. I try to avoid the place and the last couple of times I went was because I had business there.

Speaking as someone from the civilised part of the country (aka the north) I can only agree with every word.

When I was eighteen years old I worked for a shipping company in London. The office I worked in was near to the Tower Bridge. I sometimes walked down there at lunch time. I went to London for leisure reasons as well. I liked strolling around St James Park. I enjoyed visiting the art galleries and socializing at Trafalgar Square. I liked seeing Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. I feel happy when I remember all the times I have spent in London. The historical buildings are what fascinates me about wonderful London. I was made redundant and then I set off on my journey around the world.

Unfortunately, i haven,t visited London either. Not yet. Friends of mine live in Londen, with redfoxes running around at night, theatres that are occasionally visited, movies that can be watched, the late night restaurants and so much more. They came for a visit in November last year, but the way they talked about Londen, you could see they cannot wait to get back their again. What i found astonishing, is the food you can order online and it gets delivered. I think when visiting Londen, will be an experience not to be forgotten.

When I think about London, I think about roaming around with good friends, going out to eat afterwards, maybe going to a cinema, catching up, talking all day about films, books, politics etc. When I go there I try to plan so that it's either a weekend or my friends have a day off, and we go off exploring London. Luckily it's so big that even those who live there haven't seen all of it.
