Does anyone have their own preference on what kind of flower to give on Valentines Day?

Eh, Flowers are nice, but I'd prefer a teddy bear, a game or just a nice card and balloon. Just going out with the hubs for Valentines Day would be nice. Though if I were to pick a flower, a rose would be fine.

Thanks SomeCowGirl, true, girls might have different view about the gifts they would want to receive during Valentines day. Normally it's flowers but it doesn't really means that we can't give other gifts besides flower since love itself comes in different form :)

Different Forms of love, yes, as well as different stages. With hubby and I being knewly married he could get me anything, and I get him anything. I think also it depends on what a person needs, while the cutesy stuff is fine, the gift doesn't necesarily have to have anything to do with the holiday!

arafol, I would have to say that carnations are my favorite flower of all time. They come in so many colors and shapes and sizes. My hubsband seems to get me flowers and other small gifts during this time.

You can't go wrong with roses! But if you wanna stand out while keeping the classic romance of a rose try getting the tiny ones, they are my favorite!
