What do you think, as a Christian, about the world ending in 2012? I myself believe that something will happen. Not because of predictions, but because of common sense. I think the government will take advantage of the opportunity and do something. Possibly fake a alien invasion. Either way, what do you guys think will happen on that day? anything, or nothing?

Bah! Humbug! A closer study of the Mayan calendar reveals that the Mayans never said the world would end in December 2012. They gave a detailed acount of what would happen when the world came to an end and their calendar just so happened to only go up to December 2012. There's very little backing to idea that the Mayans predicted the end.
If any govt. really wanted to pick a day to cause trouble, they should've done it at midnight January 1 2000. A lot of people were freaked out about that one.

Hi albinowhite1 .
Well, the Antichrist as of today has not arisen and signed an agreement with the Jews for seven years (see Daniel 9).
At the end of that 7, the nations are gathered against Israel at Armaggedon. Then Christ returns for an earthly rule of 1000 years.
So, until the Antichrist does his thing, I figure we still have just over 1007 years left for the planet.
The main thing is to be committed to Christ, and thus be ready.
