France: Is The Grass Greener On The Other Side Of The Atlantic?

The publication "International Living" came out with its annual list of most livable countries, and for the fifth straight year, France gets the no. 1 ranking.
To me, it is so obvious that there are several countries, let alone others in Europe, that deserve to be ahead of France.
Are we forgetful of why Sarkozy was elected? He got elected because the government in France has been overly involved in economic affairs.
A few years ago, I read in The New York Times of the many French college graduates moving to Ireland for jobs. Should that happen if you're ranked no. 1? Right below is the link to that article:
