How much baggage do you carry with you everyday?I'm not talking about your backpack, or the bag that holds your laptop, or even your purse. I'm talking about the baggage of guilt you may be lugging around regrets that you just can't shake. Imagine sitting to a person in church, in school, at work, or anywhere else who has a dozen baggage around him/her. Everywhere he/she goes, he/she carries all of them. It's the same with the things you said or did that you regret. Or maybe, ignoring the guilt and never making things right. It's amazing but true that one word or one action can change your life forever. So what do you think you would do about those things in the past? Share your experiences, opinions and reactions on this topic...

When my son was too small, I used to carry snacks, clothes or even milk for him in the bag. Now I carry only a small purse. When I visit some places I won't take much luggages because, I won't have much patience to carry them.

While we all have things that we regret in life, my father used to say that "you should never be sorry for anything you have done in life, you should take responsiblty for your actions, learn from mistakes, deal with consequences but not linger in the guilt, for everything you have done and experienced has made you into the person you are today".....I always thought that Dad had a good point here.
We cannot change the past anyway...we can only move forward and live our lives the best way we know how at this moment. Lingering in guilt is like constantly looking into the rear view mirror while driving, odds are great that you will crash the car if you did that. The rear view mirror lets you know where you have been and what is behind you, it has it's purpose but it was never meant to be a tool that we stared at constantly... our past and any guilt we have over it, is like that too...it can be a tool to glance back now and then so we do not repeat the mistakes of the past but just like that rear view mirror, we only crash our lives if we stare at the past too long.
Best Wishes to you!
