I worked 9 hours Monday to Friday in the company. I was ok with this eventhough breaks anre uncertain, then my manager delegated another job for me to do and that I have to do it 5 hours Saturdays and Sundays. My heart broke into pieces and felt like dying the moment I received the memo. What's worse is that I couldn't complain or else I'll end up jobless...what a heartless manager, I thought....from that time on my friends call me workaholic, then I ask myself "am I?, I think not.."

I believe a workaholic is someone who desires more employment or other work because they immensely enjoy the thrill and pleasure of either just working or the money, or both!
I don't think your a workaholic because you've not expressed a desire to work more, but rather would prefer your normal 9 hour day monday thru friday schedule. Who could blame you though as many people also enjoy this schedule, or another set schedule to their liking. Of course it's always harder to get used to more hours or less hours when it's sudden and involuntary!
I remember when I had to suddenly get used to a lot more hours then I'd prefer, but trust me it really made me appreciate working after that! I was glad to quit said job, but even so I appreciated working as well as having time off and haven't complained about the job I am in now other then a few instances.

I am 100% agree with you. Workaholic means hungry for more and more work. It can't be measure with the working hours.

I think your manager doesn't have good ability of management. From what you said, I think, not only you who feel this way but others in the organization also. The quality of management is poor though it may have good reputation but the truth is the truth. Soon, your company will be low standard for employment that's what I guess. I just hope that you will be taking care of your health very well not only working hard. You may have effective working and become a quality worker but if you're not healthy then I don't think it's worthwhile.
