quality in crisis....

is quality still important? many cannot afford to buy products of a high quality because of lack of purchasing power. what should companies to provide the same product, same quality and yet giving the chance to those who cannot buy expensive products to buy the same product at a lower cost?

I belive the companies do spend in resarch and development that is why the initial cost is high when the product is new, and after words the costs come down as the competition increases so gradually the companies would be offering the products which are high in quality and at competitive prices.

yes, i agree, but at the time that the price of that product will decrease, the product might not be that demandable or not in the trend anymore,so purchasing would be useless. but i guess, it would really greatly depend on thje nature of the product. hehe
