I mean the pyramid of authority and importance. The one on the top usually holds the power to make final decision of important affairs and also main income in family.
The one really suck live at the bottom of the pyramid,a matter of no consequence,is totally neglected and even abandonded.
I'm still single now,so I play the role as son in my family who is walking the steps to creat my own world and taken as proud by my parents, even I'm not so good.
The key piont is I'm the sole kid for them.I could announce that I'm the top of the pyramid as soon as I'm marry and become the pillar of my family.
I think things gonna be quite different if u have several brothers or sisters, right??
U should do something to get ur position.

There are ten of us brothers and sisters. I am only the 2nd from the rank. Since my mom is still around she still holds the power to run the affairs of the family. Properties wise my mom is fair and regardless of gender she gave us equal share. We do have family meetings once in a while to update whats the latest happening at home.

my family is not like a pyraid, we take the decisions all together, and there is a lot of respect fot each member, old or young there is no difference between us. But now we are only 3 persons in my family because my sister went to milan to live there with her boyfriend. She return here about 2 times every month and in occasions like christmas or easter or the birthday of one of the family member.

Your "position"? I live in the US and no one family member is more important or less important than the other. We all work and contribute to our families the same. I have never understood this system you speak of and generally find that it is always the man who is at the "top of the pyramid", which is way outdated and not very fair to women. I am the head of my household (I am female) and I am the one in authority. I am not any more important than anyone else in my family however.
