What's the pet phrase of teacher in ur elementary school in that time?

If you have answered your teacher during that period, it could have earned you another hour of kneeling in front of the classroom with your two hands holding your ears. But I think we were taught not to answer back our teachers and to respect them. I really can't remember any moment where I have been scolded by my teacher as I was always the class monitor and that gave me a certain immunity.

I am very bad in my history and my memory is weak in going back to my elementary class. I reall cannot think of any pert phrase of my teacher. But it is a good discussion. Thanks!
