Would you travel if you had more money?

Some people sit at home wishing to travel. I imagine that they can't afford to travel. One of my friends is retired and she relies on on-line earning to go on a trip every year. When I was a teenager I didn't have much money. I saved money from my paper round to go to Greece. I suggest visiting a neighboring country or snapping up a cheap flight.
Would you travel if you had more money?
If so where would you go?
Have you ever visited a neighboring country?
Have you ever snapped up a cheap flight?

Yes, yes and yes! I would like to travel if I have more money. I would like to explore first my country. Philippines has a lot of beautiful places to offer and I admit I havent been in those places. Money is also the issue why I cant travel a lot.
I also wanted to see neighboring Asian countries because we share similar culture. I would like to go to Hongkong, Thailand, Singapore and Korea.
Have you thought of Carribean Cruise? I've seen a documentary film about the cruise and it was so beautiful and luxurious.
I also wanted to travel with someone because traveling alone makes me sad.

Who wouldn't want to travel if they could?
It's only human nature to go forth and expand.

Very true. I'm kind of a "homebody," meaning I love to be at home with my family, but even I have a strong desire to see new places and faces, and experience new experiences. lol
I too want to take a quiz maria. A Disney one, they look like so, so, so much fun. I'm kind of a big ol' kid. :)
Other than that I want to travel to places with lots of museums and good food like Paris and Germany (desserts and baked goods) and Italy(anything in the entire country). And places with long, rich histories: Italy, China, England, Germany, Mexico and so on. Notice the way that all the place I listed with rich histories also happen to have super yummy food. lol

i think most of people like travel, but because of money, they only can stay at home. but there are still some people who dont like to travel, but prefer to stay in. such as one of my uncle at my mom's side, he has enough money, we all know it. but he never travel. he'd prefer to stay at home playing card.
but i do like travel. first some most beautiful scenes inland, then travel to outside of motherland.

I most certainly would. Having the money would save a lot of headaches and hassles I think.
Of course, I'd like to explore Australia further first. I've done a big 4WD trip of the Simpson Desert but I would definitely like to see more. Canada and the UK are also on my list of places to visit.

I would absolutly travel if I had more money!!
Where would I go? Everywhere that we had time off from work to visit! Family & friends of course and see the sights along the way. I'm dying for a nice weekend get-a-way but w/ our current income and 3 small kids it won't be happening anytime soon.
Never visited a neighboring country. I have wanted to but since they require passports to do some traveling not required until recent years I don't know if it's worth the effort to get 5 passports to go on a trip that we probably cant' afford anyway.
No cheap flights we don't fly @ all, we prefer to drive.

Definitely I would love to visit different countries if I had more money...We had been to Far East many years back when my husband was in Sales business and had achieved the target... so it was a large group and we had great fun. After that we faced extreme financial crunch due to heavy losses in our business. But since 3-4 years back, with Lord's Blessings, we are doing well, visited America where our children are settled..we would also love to see other parts of the globe, we might go to Europe on our way to USA next time.

Hi, maximax8. Yes, if I had more money I would go traveling. I would like to travel to, Vermont, Peru, China, Brazil, London, Spain, The West Indies, California, New Hampshire and Argentina. I have never visited an neighboring country before. And I have never snapped up a cheap flight either. I am afraid of riding on airplanes. But, I would love to travel though.

I definitely would travel to foreign countries if I had more money. I have been to a few other countries but there are so many more that I'd like to visit. However, my children are in different states here in the U.S. and I travel to go see them and my grandchildren. The first country I'd like to visit would be Greece. I've visited Mexico several times and Canada just once--would like to travel there. You know I don't think I ever have snapped up a cheap flight although it was inexpensive when I visited Central America in the 80s.

I think that everybody wants to travel...if not because they love it, than maybe just for the curiosity. I for one love to travel but don't have money and the time for it. Me and my husband decided to go somewhere this year, no matter where but just go some other place than our country, Romania. It is a beautiful country, we haven't seen it all but we are curious about how other countries look like. We want to go in Italy, Greece or England we we have the chance...
Good luck and good MyLotting

I certainly would travel more if I could afford it. I can't even afford to get out of town, let alone another state or country! Despite my current situation, over the course of my life I have been to 33 of 50 states here in the U.S.. Every summer my dad would go somewhere on business, and he'd take our family with him as a vacation. He'd take an extra week for just vacation too, not just "business". I live in Oklahoma, so I have been to our neighbor, Mexico. Canadians seem to be aghast here on mylot when I say I haven't been to Canada. But I'm in Oklahoma, FAR away from the Canadian border. I would love to go to Canada someday. As well as Ireland, Scotland, and Austria (because of movies I saw as a child). I've been to Australia and New Zealand, or else they'd be on my list too.

I do recall the cheap flight that I didn't snap up, $89 one way Los Angeles to Brussels and back. It was only available in early January for a few weeks, and it would have been butt cold (by my California standards), but still...

Hey maxi! I have hardly ever really travelled! I have been to
Canada a few times, which for me is "out of the Counry"! But,
Canada is a 10 hour drive from NYS and I have done it each time
by car! It is a beautiful and clean Country and I love it there!
There is so much to see and each time I have been there I have
seen different parts of it! The only places other than Canada
that I have visited were places in the US! I have driven to
Maryland, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts (where I went
to College briefly), Maine, Connecticut, Philadelphia, New Jersey!
But, those are all not far! Only a few hours! The furthest place
I have been other than those states is to Florida a few times
to visit my Mom! I went this past July and will be going back
this Spring and I can't wait!

I would definitely travel if I had more money. I absolutely love traveling! It is my favorite thing to do. Of course, money is the reason I don't get to travel very often. I would travel everywhere I could possibly get to. I really would like to see all the countries of Europe. I have visited my neighboring country of Mexico twice. I have also been to the Bahamas. And, I made it to the Canadian side of Niagra Falls.

YES! Money is the only real thing holding me and my friends back from taking trips; whether short road trips or flying by plane out of the country. Me and the friends who want to go.. Have a hard time saving up for anything though, just because 99% of the money we make goes directly to bills and car-related repairs, gas, maintenance, insurance, and so on. Needless to say we don't make very much. We're going to try to use our tax money that we get back and use that as a starting point for our "trip" savings. We've found some pretty good deals on Priceline.com (at least what I assume to be good deals) and we're trying like hell to get to Honolulu, Hawaii. I'm dying to see Wakiki beach. I have only been on a plane ONCE and that was from Minneapolis to Chicago. A 2 hour plane ride. I have never 'traveled' without my parents, and WITH my parents, I have only been to South Dakota. . My parents didn't have much money, needless to say, either. Like father/mother, like daughter, right? .
Sometimes I wish I lived in the UK or somewhere where there were closer, and MORE surrounding countries. In the U.S. here, we really only have Canada to our north and Mexico to our south (especially far south for me, since I'm only about 5 hours away from Canada as it goes). I've heard stories from online friends living in Britain that they can just catch a train and take it to Paris, because they're so close. This sounds amazing/astounding to me. I feel a little more cut off from the rest of the world in Minnesota, of the United States, though. *sigh*.
My sister is leaving for Sweden.. (her second trip) tomorrow evening. She knows quite a bit more about traveling than I do. She's been to Sweden twice, California a few times, and Las Vegas. In other words, a heck of a lot more than I do!

Yes I would! Three months out of the year until I'm 65 y/o[lol]. Provided I live that long in this day-n-age who can say BUT, ONLY GOD. Right now I have a 94 y/o grandmother and she is in better shape than half the people I grow-up with!
