Here in the Philippines, texting or SMS(Short Message Service) can be considered the number one function of a cellphone. But when you want to send a message, or you want to make a point to a person on the other line, which do you think is better, clearer and stronger in relaying your message?

Well, I am more of texting considering that it costs less. But when it is really important and I want to get an immediate response, then I call. I think talking to the person on the phone is much clearer and much more reliable as compared to sending short messages. The only downside is that calling rates are much higher as compared to text charges.

I experienced one time, I was trying to instruct a staff using text and the recipient just couldn't exactly understand what I was trying to say. After more than 14 text messages, I finally decided to call him and he understood the instruction in less than two minutes! I ended up spending more with texting than I did with call that time! :)
