scraping frost from the windows

I have recently moved back up further north. I can tell you I didn't miss scraping frost off the windows of my vehicle in the mornings! So, of course I just purchased an ice scraper. Did anyone ever notice that even if the scraper is 4 inches wide, it only scrapes off about 1/2 inch at a time?? Drives me crazy!! Why can't the scraper scrape off as wide as it is???? But no, it' designed so that I am out in sub zero temps scraping off the windshield for as long as possible! Would it be too easy if it would actually scrape the entire width of the scraper???

Ahaha, I know how you feel. One time I actually didn't have a scraper, so I had to use a library card. -_- It was not fun, believe me. I's probably because the scraper has a different curve than the surface you're scraping.

A library card! that's great!!I guess it could be worse then huh?!? I'll remember that next time I am out trying to scrape the windows. You know, I might pull out my library card and see if that works better!

I did what I could with what I had, it wasn't too bad :D One poor kid tried to throw water all over his car. So dangerous.

Yeah I know. I had this problem this morning and it was very, very cold this morning. I was stuck scraping off my entire car for about 15 minutes because it only scraps a small bit each time. And to make matters worse I even had frost inside my car! I just gave up and drove to work. I wasn't going to fight with all the frost this morning.

Oh man! I know the feeling.. it's been sub zero here too - at least the wind chill factor. The temp's in the single digits! I don't like scraping the windows and it's like adding insult toinjury for it to only scrape a tiny bit at a time!
