We have two dogs at home. The black female dog is Darna and the brown male dog is Tarzan. My father and my 3 years old nephew likes Darna. Me and my mother likes Tarzan than Darna because our male dog is more giving when it comes to food. He doesnt have a tantrum unlike our female dog. Darna usually started fight with Tarzan thats why I cant tolerate her attitude.
How about you? Do you have a favorite when it comes to your pet?

Tarzan and Darna are great names of a pet I think you idolize both them. We have a dog and she is 14 yrs. old and she is very old now. Right now I have rabbits and they are my favorite I like them because they are very sociable pet. They are quite pet unlike dog.

Hi Maria! I have 6 pets at home. I have 3 dogs and 3 lizards.
Lizards are:
2 Bearded Dragons and a Mali uro mastyic (hes a desert lizard) They are so much fun to have. We play with them all the time. I have raised them from babies and they are used to being handled. My kids love to watch them chase crickets around.
Dogs are:
Halo our 5 year old Boxer
Star our 3 year old australian shepard/lab mix
Hemi our 2 year old Puggle (pug/beagle mix)
The dogs are a lot of fun to have around. We take them hiking and camping with us all the time.
I dont have a favorite though. I love them all the same. Its to hard to pick a favorite when there all so cute!!

Well we had our dog for 15 years before we had to put her down, and we had a stray cat that we took in who was very old for 2 years and we had some hermit crabs for a while. The Hermit crabs were not really that lovable. They were interesting to watch and take care of but I never really bonded with them. I loved the cat he was very sweet and all, but I loved my dog the most. The cat was kind of mean to my dog, and eventually my dog got mean back but she never attacked the cat or physically touched him in any way. She was a very sweet dog. I miss her very much.

I have 4 dogs now and 14 cats. I have 3 dogs that have passed on and numerous cats..
But yes I have had my favorites. My dog Ka'vik was my favorite dog actually he cam as a set with my dog T.K., I think of them as a pair. I miss my Tesla too- she was the Alpha dog and always made her presence known - so the house feels empty now with out her.
Also I had a Siamese cat named Soleil, she was one of my favorites..
But there have been many other great cats since then. It would be really hard to choose But my Slate was an awesome cat. As he loved car rides and even playing with the dogs... I think he thought he was one of them. Unfortunately that is what got him killed, Some dogs who lived down the block got loose and went on a cat killing spree and I lost a bunch of really great friends.. since they were raised with dogs they didn't really fear them and these dogs didn't care...
Here is a picture of my kitten Slate playing with my Collie Braedyn and a very big stick! (Slate is in the shade..A little hard to see).

As long as the different family of animal is there, yes it is true that we can make the choice for lovely, wonderful and favorite pet. I don't have any pet animal but I am sure that the Cat is lovely and favorite. If the pet is a Dog then it is wonderful and over the period of months will become lovely and for some extraordinary qualities we will make the dog as favorite too.

There are five dogs in my house and two cats. Of the five dogs, I wouldn't choose a favorite, but of the two cats, because one is considered to be only my pet, I would choose that one, lol, because it would make sense, haha.

We have two dogs and a bird. I think we all hate the bird but we keep him anyway. He used to be really sweet but now he likes to bite everyone and he is very annoying. As to the dogs, we have two Shih-Tzus. Patches is 11 and Ringo is 9 both are boys. Ringo is my favorite because that boy is like my baby. He loves to cuddle and play and he is just so cute. I had to train him to bark because the one time he tried as a pup he scared himself! Now he barks to let me know he wants outside. Patches is sweet when he wants to be. He is just as stubborn as a dog can get and it drives me crazy. He takes his time to do absolutely everything and acts like he is King of the House. I love him but he sure can irritate me!

We have 2 cats and a dog. They are each so very different! The dog is devoted and always in a good mood and so very happy to see me when I come home. She was the last to join our family.
One cat is abit of a brat and will climb on things like the tv where she knows she doesn't belong and will be told to get down or removed. The other one was so shy and had a short stub of a tail when we got her that somehow she's my favorite. She was terrified of dog noises from the tv that I wonder if that's what happened to most of her tail. She was a feral kitten that we got from an animal shelter.
She has bloomed and grown and is still so very sweet and easy going just like a dog and such a cuddler. The bratty cat was definitely raised with people and loves to cuddle too but she plays fetch just like our dog. We had the 2 cats before the dog.
The dog adopted us and showed up in our yard one day and was so thin and small that it broke my heart and I had to try and take care of her. The cats weren't scared of her at all for some reason, maybe they recognized her gentle spirit. She was also in such poor health when we got her that we had to make several vet trips to treat all her issues but it's over a year now and she's a healthy little girl. They all sleep together and play together so we have a happy pet pack, with the bratty girl as the leader.

We were watching a TV documentary that day about taming wild wolves and how domestic they can be compares with dogs. The programme also gave some insight research and discussion about dogs' nature. For example, a dog uses its right-side of the brain to recognize human face yet scientists don't detect the same brain wave when dogs look at each other. It shows dogs do have certain degree of connection with human beings and it makes them wonderful company for us for centuries.
Saying that, I only prefer certain types of dogs. Not too small nor too big. Husky and golden retriever are my only choices. But walking them everyday is a pain. So until now I never have a dog as a pet since I can never get rid of my inborn laziness. We have a cat and it looks after itself as if wild. He's my favourite pet for the moment. :D

We have had dogs for several years now. At one time we had 4 but we loved them all equally although the youngest Nimmi had such endearing behaviour that she drew everyone's attention. You can make Darna behave with a bit of patience and training and you will love her more as females are always endearing. We now have a female and there is nothing about her that I can criticise but when she was a pup there is nothing that she has not destroyed but with patience we tolerated her and that patience was worth it.
