As for us Filipina. Usually, we never make a move whenever we like a man. We just make them one of our friends. To know theat man better and to assess if the girl just like him because of the looks or is there more to that. But mostly, these mere liking thing... the two became the best of friends.

Why not? If you really like a man, why can't you be open about it? Don't be agressive but you can show signs that you like him and would like to take things further. See how he would respond and take it on from there. I don't see anything wrong in that especially in this age of gender equality. That's my personal opinion..people might differ.
