hi there people, if i buy computer components on internet i'll pay less money than buy them at the shop, but can we trust internet to buy something so fragile and precious on internet? i don't know, i prefere to buy thing in hte shop, because if i've some problems i can go there and talk with the shop keeper to resolve my problems. And what about you? have you ever boght a computer component on internet? and do you trust internet for computer components? Thank you for your responses :)

I bought some pc components at ebay with satisfaction. Of course there are risk when buying online, so many scammers. What I do is examine the seller's feedbacks, reputations, history, etc. from that I'll have the idea of what kind the seller I'm dealing with.

Hello Cordis,
Yes I have brought computer components online before, and I have to say it was my best experience ever, most online merchants such as Ebay and the link are really good, for when you are in need of a Pc component, and some of them you can return and you pay for shipping returns, if something is wrong with the merchadise, or if it is simply not what you needed in the first place. I have to add I love shopping off Ebay!

I think we can trust internet in most of the cases. I bought a CD player before, DVD too. Also I bought a mouse. But I thing it's not bad to use the marketplace. It's still safer! Internet is ideal for buying event tickets - I used this many times. It's safe and in most of the cases you pay when you receive the ticket.

Though I have not bought any computer component on internet, I feel if you buy from a reputed seller, there should not be any problem. The bill will be there, any defect or problem can be sorted out by calling them on phone.

I have bought some computer components on the internet and had very good service. It was when I was married and my husband needed parts for his business. I would order them and be there to receive them and check the orders and I never had one arrive broken or damaged.
Now that I'm alone, I prefer to go to a shop for something like that because I'm not an expert and might need help picking the brand or its abilities.

Look at the online store for BBB approval and other things , hacker safe for example.
It is simpler to go to the shop and get a refund or exchange. newegg is a good place to buy online and its cheaper. I know someone who buys a lot and has no trouble. Infact they gave him a free coupon.

I have been considering purchasing a graphics tablet online it woud save money. I think if you purchase online it really dont make a difference with getting service for the product because most companies that have been around for awhile do provide good customer service or they would be out of business. I have found too with computer components the manufacturer usually will have trouble shooting advice and customer serivce on their website too.

Yes I have, and more than once. It is usually safe to buy an computer componet online so long as you buy it from a reputable dealer. Since computer componets often tend to be fragile it may be a good idea to purchase the delivery insurance but most of the time they come with warranties, and if they don't work you can send them back for a new one or a refund. I have purchased a new graphics card which at the time was a state of art card that would cost me 400.00 in the stores and I got it online and onsale for 160.00 I also have purchased a keyboard for my laptop which wasn't very expensive, but again I saved about 10.00 doing it online. Both arrived in just a few days, and both were packaged well and arrived in working order just fine.

I bought my entire computer online! I ordered it from the Dell website and customized it with peripherals and programs according to my specs.
Since then, I have ordered other accessories and components. All have been properly and securely packed and shipped.
Do I trust the internet for computer parts? Absolutely. With any reputable company, help is just a phone call or interactive chat away.
With today's economy, online retailers will bend over backwards to make you happy and keep you coming back to shop with them again.

Actually i bought my whole computer on the internet! i also bought a laptop! it really doesn't matter to me anyways because where i bought it from it was secure and totally trustworthy. don't be another stupid person who buys things on ebay because that's just a waste of time and money. most of the time the stuff is damaged or is damaged on the way over to you anyways, so buying pc components on the internet is cool but also make sure where you buy it from, that's the main thing.
