REMINDER for Roman Catholic: Ash Wednesday

me and my wife heard mass yesterday (sunday) and the priest homily is about the holy week. he reminded us that February 17 is ash wednesday the start of the lenten season that we catholic celebrates. the season of preparation for the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. just a reminder to all catholic members of mylot. it is quite early that it falls on february.

Yes i am already aware of it. i already marked our calendar about it and the dates of the holy week. it's early and we will be going home to Bicol. we have the image of pieta for procession during the good friday! so, i'm planning our holyweek break and at the same time extend it as our summer vacation.

on a busy day like we always have we tend to forget such dates like this. and it came early too. we also bring our son to church to experience this. i hope we catholic wont forget it. thanks a lot for your response. looks like it wont have any response anymore. sad to see that there are only a few catholic here at mylot.

Thank you very much for the reminder. You are a big help for us for posting and reminding us for such events. God bless you se7enth. Now I can make sure I will not miss this years Ash Wednesday. I am sad to admit that i missed the Ash Wednesday last year and I am sure this year I wont and that is because you help me remember it.
