Have you ever said 'I Hate You' to the person you actually loves?

Hi reetika,
I have said the same to my son. If he is not obeying and I don’t want to give any physical punishment then I may said this. I know he can’t tolerate this and he will be obedient soon. In reality I can’t hate my kids but using this line I am letting out my anger.

Almost always. :) I tend to become indifferent to the people about whom I cared and who didn't reciprocate or who hurt me. But I use these words on my father when he teases me too much. :) I am not very good with repartee, and that gives him a chance to tease me a lot, and so I do that. I am also a bit childish (that is understatement). I ask him regularly do you love me. And when he says no, then it is but natural that such words slip out. In reality, I dont mean them. :)

a lot of times have this phrase came out of my mouth and ended up having a relationship...lol.. but honestly, it is a mere phrase that actually triggers an impression on the affected party, having you in her or his mind as if there is something worth knowing, intriguing...i guess simply put, hating is loving and vice versa..the more you hate the more you love..lol..

Yes, I've been in this situation! It's bad thing. But it was not my fault! It's because the other person's driving me crazy! Cheated or not being nice with me. For example - what can you say when your lover prefers to be on a party with unknown friends than being with you? " Oh, alright! That's good! Have a nice party! It's pretty amazing that you don't want my company!" Is this what you'll say :) In this case I can say to my loved one " Hate you! Wish you never come back! " Well, I don't really think that I hate the person. It's just high pressure exploding!

To the person I love romantically? .. No, not while I was with them anyway. During a rough split up I had, definitely. He had cheated on me multiple times and then left with one of my best friends. I hated them both pretty well at that point.
I'm glad to say I got over it. Hating someone isn't worth the energy.
Honestly I personally don't think I could ever tell someone that I'm in love with that I hate them. It's such a strong and horrible word in my opinion.
