Why We Shouldn't Use Facebook?

This in an interesting discussion. It has put a smile to my face. I am a facebook user. I am addicted to it but I can think of couple of reasons.
If you don't want to be found, then don't use it.
If you don't want to waste time, then don't use it.
I do agree with a fellow mylotter above, you can easily waste time just sitting there all day playing all the applications there. I can spend at least 4 to 5 hours a day playing a game called country life. I found it quite addictive.
And that would lead me to another reason. If you don't want to get addicted to a site, then don't use facebook. Lol

Hi, iocustheoda, for me, the answer is so easy, facebook is forbidden by our government.
In fact, I didn't facebook until I was here. Then I tried to sign in, but I even couldn't visit the website. A few days ago, a Malaysian friend told me, it has benn forbidden and many foreigners in our country cannot visit there, too.
Frankly speaking, I'm a little curious about facebook now.

Don't worry, it's not all the hype. I was an ex-user, I got bored, so I opt out. It depends on what kind of people you are. If you are an outgoing, constantly have something to shout out, and usually something that won't embarass you in front of your family, that's the one for you. If not, just stcik to what you have for now.
In fact, I find mylotting is definitely more fun than Facebook.

I think the biggest reason is that Facebook may be a waste of time. One can spend hours and hours doing nothing, especially applications like Farmville.

As opposed to MyLot, in which one can spend hours and hours doing nothing except responding to discussions or starting discussions?

If you do not wish to get in touch with your old school friends then maybe Facebook is not for you.
Also many get addicted to the games there like Farmville,Mafia wars etc.

Well, if you would have asked the same question 6 months ago, I would have answered like:
Facebook shouldn't be used beacuse it is very hapazed website, this is very difficult to understand kind of website!
but now, if you ask the same question, my answer would be, "Don't have any idea!" LOL!

I see no reason not to use Facebook. It's where most of my friends have their profiles, so naturally I have a profile there as well. I don't play with all of the applications because they get boring to me after a while, but I'm on a pretty good Harry Potter application that I'm completely addicted to. lol
