This is two type connection, wireless and wireline. You don't need cable for wireless. This connection usually using access point or WIFI for your internet connection. The other one, wireline, you need cable to connected directly on your computer when you need access to internet. I like to use wireless, because its very simple and no need to install cable to entire my house. With wireless, I can connect anywhere at my house.

HI,
Wireless mean you can move your computer anywhere and you still have internet connection on. And Wireline, you have to plug the line to your computer and you can't take it around the house with you(stay in one place).
I never heard about wireline before but I think I know what you mean here... so Wireless you feel free to move but wireline you have to stay in one place :)

wireless internet connection means you can access internet without having a wire connected to your router. where as wired internet connection you need to have wire from your computer to your router to access internet.
But always wired internet connection is better than wireless in both means speed and quality.

Those are the two modes where you can access the net. Wireless technically means that there is no wires attached to your computer to access the net. When you want to access wirelessly you would need to have a wireless lan connector with your pc or laptop(most laptops are already wifi ready unit already). If you are using pc desktops they usually are lan ready which means you just connect a wire to a modem that connects you to access internet.
you could establish a wireless connection using a wireless router. You kind of buy this equipment and connect this to the modem and configure the wireless router to communicate with your modem and when it is all done the router will emit signals which will be captured by those machines that are wifi ready.

You don't need to use cables for wireless internet. You just need a wireless adapter and a router for you to connect. Wired internet uses cables which is directly connected to the computer.
