Not that I have a cat, but I don't really like it very warm so if I ever get a cat I have to buy it some nice, warm blankets. Most of my friends would probably do it though, as they all seem to want it several degrees warmer than their boyfriends want.

Actually, my husband feels the cold more than I do. He's a fussy Virgo that wears layers even in midsummer!

Haha, it is a bit of the other way round in our house. Although we try to have heating on as less as we can since gas price has rocketed for the last two years, we sometimes leave the heating on deliberately so our cat is more willing to come home for its warmth.

Um, no. My husband would sooner turn the heat up if myself or my daughter was cold. I don't think he'd really care if the cat or dog was cold. lol
Does he not respond if you say you're cold? Or do you just not try.
I'm sure he's on to you regardless tho. lol

My husband is full of surprises. He once told me he was a dog lover. I told him I was a cat lover...and we ended up with a cat and no dog. He now makes the most of our new-ish addition by making her life as tolerable as possible and has been known to turn the fire on purely for her benefit..so I suppose we are both as bad as each other!

No I don't. I'll often let it get as cold as I can tolorate so that I don't have to spend the money on the heating bills. In fact I spent the majority of the past few days in bed turning the heat on a half hour before George came home. Let it run a majority of the night, and then turned it off early in the morning just after sun rise. Get in the tub to warm up, then get dressed for the day. When compnay left, I curled up in bed. So yeah I don't like cold.

We don't usually do it for the cats, but the cats end up benefitting. We have a gas fireplace and turned it on yesterday because it was so cold out. Once it had been running for awhile, our oldest cat was curled up on the dog bed in front of the fireplace, sleeping. I went over to warm up and he glared at me like I was stealing the heat from him.

Haha! Yes, I can identify with the last comment very well. Can't get a look in once "Mistress Moggy" hogs the fire lol.

My HUSBAND does this to me, but using our dogs as the reason! Hysterical. It doesn't work very often, though, because I'm the bill payer and know how much it runs up our bill to crank the heat during these very cold winter days. I love that your hubby falls for it though, and particularly that you cat helps out with your schemes. Adorable!

Thank you and welcome to MyLot! To be honest, Flojo (the cat) rules the roost as far as this household goes but we wouldn't have it any other way.

Sometimes I wish Mum's cat was with me (she has two) as she is HUUUUGE! Totally covers my lap when I'm at Mum's house, keeping it warm like yours does. My cat likes to go on my hubby's lap more than mine because I'm always on this computer lol.
