Virat Kholi played a good knock of century to chase down the match against bangladesh.
although it was his second century, it looks like that he will overtake sachin when he reach sachins age.
look on his total runs also he is scoring on that too and his average is too good.
no wonder if he overtakes sachins record on the age of 30+.
he is a real talent india got from under 19 cricket.
these kind of players are what we need to make inda the best in the world.
his consistency is so good that too under pressure, i think djoni should give him the chance even if sachin comes back.
as indias next series is against south africa if he performs well against them, then there is no doubt he is our future sachin.
actually he is now playing on dravids place(no:3). but he could be able to break sachins record in the future.

if i remember when sehwag smashes a ton from 70 odd balls early in his career, everyone said he will be the next sachin eventhough they are kinda similar physically but what happened?
sehwag understand that he doesnt have enough patience and standards to match sachin and created his own standards which players like dilshan are following.
whether kohli will make it or not depends not only on his talent but also luck.
even sachin had to wait 70 matches to score his first hundred but he never took long for a hundred again.
ishant was the future of indian bowling and his future now doesnt look bright at all.
the pathans bros devasted bowling and good bowling and again nowhere in the picture.
the same can be said about rohit sharma.
almost everyone agreed that with his class and technique he will find his spot after tendulkar retires and he is not there too.
and the list goes on.........
all it takes is a few bad outings and some good batting by another new comer,we will forget someone named kholi who performed so well in the tri-series.
just like that but i sincerely wish this guy shall make it cuz i dont like talents getting wasted

Yes. This guy is playing amazing. Everyday he comes to bat make a good score. Though he is a new player, his ODI ranking is in Batting: 47 and Bowling: 307!! His average is 41.08 and just in 15 matches, he have got 1 century and 3 half centuries. OMG!! I don't know, will this guy will be another Shachin, but i am sure that he is gonna lead Inda soon.

One or two series does not make some one legends. There is a long way to go for him. We have seen similar performance by suresh raina and Rohit sharma. we have seen Yusaf pathan and Robin Uthappa. These players performs one or two series extra ordinarily and then struggle for the form. So let them give them enough time befiore comparing them with the legends or even thinking as a future captain for india.

I wont compare kohli with sachin yet but i can compare him with ponting because kohli has the same technique as well as attitude towards his game.

I don't know who he is for India, but I know one thing and it is this, that he will play a long innings for India in term of years. Some are terming him as the future Rahul Dravid. And rightly so. He has got the knack of retaining his wicket and it is very rare to see in youngsters escpcially those who are trying to make themselves a permanent feature of the Indian squad. He has had good innings in recent times when he scored his first ever international century along with Gautam Gambhir. Before that he had 50+ score here and there. Then on this tour he missed out on a well deserving century which was a great contribution to win a match. Against Sri Lanka again Gautam Gambhir and Kohli played important knocks that guided Team India to victory. And the last time it was in the last league match against the hosts Bangladesh wherein he again had a 50+ score. But on all these occassions, he was patient enough not to lose his wicket and the more important thing is that, in all these situations he never came in to bat when India was in a strong position. He had to bail India out along with his batting partner.
Secondly, some term him as the future Sachin. Surely he is. I remember when Suresh Raina had scored a 80+ score and was influential in guiding India to victory, he was also termed as a Sachin-in-waiting. But as far as Virat Kohli is concerned, why he might be termed as the future Sachin is that, he paces his innings in such a good time that we don't even realise when he reaches the 50 run mark. He may not be that flyamboyant like Sehwag or Yuvraj, but he takes less time to reach there and that is the fact.

I think it's very early to compare virat kohli with Sachin. Because even though virat Kohli playing a very good knocks continueously, the main factor is Form and Consistency. Kohli is now in good form . Every player atleast once in his career tasts this peiod. But the main thing which turns any player to world class player is the consistency.

Well he can be a very good player and also he is performing well in the last few matches, but that does not mean we can compare him with sachin. He is new to the game and has a lot to learn. Where as sachin is playing for so many years and have gained so much experience from so many difficult situations. He faced so many challenged and overcome them and that is why he is now in such a position. Let him pay for some time and then we can make a judgment.

As already commented by so many peoples that there is no doubt about the talent Kohli had got. He had shown his talent in the first class matches and now showing his talent in international matches. He is doing fine with two centuries and 2 half centuries in the recent matches. But comparing him against the legent does not goes well. He need a lot more consistancy, consistancy in his batting, consistancy over the years to achieve the feature Sachin had achieved. And to my knowledge there can not be another player who can play 20 years of successful cricket. Also there are players like Rohit sharme who was compared with the Rahul Dravid, but we have seen even he needs a lot more to becanme another rahul.
There is no doubt that Kohli will be playing in the comming series even if Sachin comes back. I think the team management & the captain will certainly keep his talent in mind.

today in history of cricket, i think virat kohli is the best player to play in all situations i.e. at the time of huge score and when team is in pressure . he always plays shots with his superb timings and well hit the stroke . he is the genious player to watch after the little master sachin.

Yes he is turning out to be a great player but it will be too early to compare him with a legend such as sachin.in this series he has done really well and the indians had found 2 good players from under 19 (jadeja and kohli). As if I have to campare him then I would say he is good at number three and he does deserve to be given more chances when sachin comes back for the south africa series.
And it will be a good test for him to prove himself against a good team such as South Africa. As they are a good side and hard to beat so it will be a good challenge for him to play against them.Lets see what turns out to be his future and I pray to god that he becomes a good player and does play to his potential.

No doubt that virat kohli is in gr8 form but to reach somewhere near sachin's record is very very difficult for any good batsman.
i personally like sachin as not only he is a great batsman but also he is having a good attitude which is very important for any sport person.
well to break sachin's record one has to come in international odi at the age of 16-18 yrs just like sachin did.

Its too early to compare him to Sachin. At 21 he has not even acheived one tenth of what sachin achieved when he was 21. Having said that Kohli is a quality player with a very good temprement. He seems to know his game well and also reads the situation very well. He has learned from his mistakes and is now a much more mature batsmen and most of all he is making the best use of his limited opportunities in the ODI team.
He paced his innigs very well last night. He looked very secure from the begining with no loose shots. He just kepts on rotating the strike and hitting the odd boundary and within no time he had 50 runs to his name. He then picked up a couple notches and fiinish things off in style. He has a very simple technique and looks to be someone with a very bright future. Hope he makes full use of his talents and does well.

There is no doubt that virat kohli has natural talent. But there is always "but" Sachin tendulkar is a player now who has proved himself with over 17000 runs in One-day Cricket, over 12000 runs in Test Cricket.
And in here in virat kohli's case he is a new boy with good capabilities but still log way to go to catch sachin tendulkar's records
So i think it is to early to say that it is a FUTURE Sachin......
But still he is a good capability player........but we can't neglect the presence of Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma .....which are also good talented player such as Virat Kohli....
So any one will become successful,it is good for indian cricket anyways!

he played well in just two games that is one against srilanka and another one is against bangladesh these two games only he played well he will not be a future sachin now only he start playing .the future sachin will be another person because there are number of competitors.
