Absolutely. People fail to realize that a waitress pretty much relies solely on her tips for her pay for that job. The waitress could have had a bad day or something. Your $5 tip means alot. And when you leave without tipping, best believe Karma is a bytch and when you do bad deeds to people, it always comes around to bite you in the azz

I am surprised that there are people that actually know that the servers relies solely on the tips earned. Unless maybe you worked within a restaurant before. I am a server. I occasionally have people asking about my base rate and they seem surprised that all the money I ever see is what costumers give.

The tipping thing is an interesting one because in Australia it is very much up to the customer whether they wish to tip or not and I don’t think it is done as often as it is in other countries because the wait staff are paid adequately and do not rely on tips as much as in other places. I do think it is nice to offer a tip when given good service though. Here in Australia if the service was mediocre you probably would not offer a tip even though the food may have been great. I probably would if I was in a place where the wait staff relied on their tips.

It would be depending on the services if I like the food and the fast services i would give a tip. also depending on the kind of restaurant some encourages tipping and in other places it is not obligatory so their is nothing to worry about it.
