People say that when we think about something a lot, we will dream about it at night. But I've had a lot of dream that never cross my mind when I awake. To me, dreaming is like watching a show when we sleep. It is like watching myself acting in a movie where I am the main character and I have the ability to do certain stunts that I couldn't in real life. I do enjoy dreaming a lot as long as it's not a nightmare.
Sometimes, I keep dreaming on the same thing over and over again like last month, I dreamt about my hamster, she bred a lot of babies, I mean a THOUSAND of them, and it became a nightmare, I couldn't took care of all of them, and they turned into rats and attacked me. What a nightmare! Thing is, I woke up and realized that my hamster was pregnant.
Have you ever had a prophetic dream before? Do you believe that dreams can predict the future in some way? I think that things in daily life like hardships and happiness are reflected through pictures or symbols and coming back to our mind during the dream. Like, if you dream about falling, you may feel out of control or fear of failure at the time; or if you dream about running, means that you have something that you wanna escape from. However, it's not always easy to figure out the meaning of what we dream just like this due to the complexity of human mind and the sophisticated subconscious which depend on our personality and experiences in life.
How about you, do you believe that our dreams mean something?

Mostly I think dreams are just our self sorting through our day.. Yet the language of dreams is symbols. What does each dream symbol mean to the dreamer? Symbols are people, places, events, sounds.. whatever..
- Some I do think are precognitive, but not that many.. once in a while. And some are what I think of as Spirit dreams.. Something with deeper meaning and bigger impact.. One I had was a bright light coming closer and closer, and another was watching the sky and seeing a great storm gathering..

As far as I am concerned, I think the dreams always have some special means. If you dream about money evry night , it may means that you will own a lot of wealth in the future . But sometimes the dream just can be a dream ,means nothing. If we think more about the dream , it may influence our life a lot. So just leave it away.

woot is it true? My grandmother once told me that if we dreamt about money, you would lose some soon, and if you dreamt about ... sh*t, there would me a big money incoming. Hehe, I don't know if it is true or not.

It would be nice to think that our dreams have some kind of deeper meaning... and maybe as far as the ones where you're looking for someone or something and they're just barely out of your reach in your dreams and things of that nature, can have a deeper meaning.
But I don't think they predict our future. As I said, its fun to think that... and hell, I'll admit, I look up my dreams' meanings from time to time, but its kind of the same as reading my horoscope... its more so for fun then to find out any kind of real information.

just like I said, dream is a gathering of information for up coming event based on what happen everyday in our life. Sometimes it happens, but most of the time it does not. I'm not the kind of girl who research about everything that she dreamt. It's just for fun like reading a horoscope like you said :D in fact I barely can remember what I dreamt last night

I personally believe they do. I mean, they must have a meaning behind them because we all dream different scenarios and our experiences are unique to others. There must be a reason or meaning behind them, surely.

Yes, i think our dreams have hidden meaning. I think that dreams illustrates our thoughts, and fears, that haut us during the day, and all the time, or are a prediction of what may happen in the closes future. If we have a problem, that stresses us, sometimes is very possible that we dream about that in the night. I had many experiences with dreams, some good or some bad.

I believe in dreams and lots of my dreams came true.I almost always i remember my dreams.some dreams are wonderful but when is the best moment my mother or father wake up me,then i cant finish my dream. But proper interpretation of dreams is much more complex for majority. Interpretation of dreams is one of the most difficult thing and rather it have it roots in occult traditions and human collective unconsciousness .I believe what I like of my dreams and I always try to forget my bad ones.

hi Nymphantom----it quiet common that people would get some weird dreams which mostly depend on the critical situations they have been through out the day---the one getting freaky dreams must have watched a horror movie or heard of something terrfiying so you would end up with that situation in your dream.
There is an local reality show going on at our place which claims that they would predict ones past life depending on dreams we get in this life.so you have been getting weirder dreams continuosly then there is something related to it in your past life too.
I dont mean to terrify you rather have a look at the following youtube video you would get an idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW7Dzy4dqx0
The process is as follows----The participant is taken into a State of Progressive Relaxation followed by an alpha-theta meditation through the visualisation of light and then back into the past fears to know the reason for things that trouble them in this birth.
great day cutie

To an extent yeh i guess so. As you say, it is our mind in a subconscious state that chooses what to think anyways so i think dreams can often show what is really on a persons mind. As for telling the future and stuff like that im not too sure of :D

Yeah i do believe that dreams have meanings.
In my own experience, my dreams most of time come true or is somehow related to reality. Dreams are warnings for me are some kind of a sneak peak of the future for me.
There are times that dreaming can be scary but sometimes it can also be a source of happiness and fun.

Scientists say that dreams are something like tool of our brain. The brain use this tool to recycle our memories. But why sometimes we remember our dreams?
I think that most of the time people dream about thoughts which disturb them. We dream about our fears, about success level we want to reach . . . And yes, of course, our dreams have something meaningful to be! We can find out lots of thing about ourselves from our dreams.
Last night I dreamed that I reach at least a dollar here in mylot :) Isn't it logic and meaningful :)
