i have seen that today student prefer Engineering study more than the medical and other study lines.... they are just taking the degree and doing some small jobs...
what you think about the reason behind rapidly increasing the number of engineering student as commpared to that of other fields?

Yes, for some reason, engineering is the big thing to study. MAYBE, the pay are better when you land a good job after studies or you can further your education after studying. To be honest, i have really no idea, as this is something i only hear of, but do not now anyone who is currently studying i that line.

I peronally think that the medical field is a bit harder to learn and grasp. Maybe i am wrong, but you have to admit, some of those words, really sound like a bunch of swear words and not everyone can grasp the meaning of it. But i think if you are not sure what you want to study, go to any college, technicon or university and ask to be evaluated. That normally is a big help and sure for you not to make the wrong decision, in what line you want to study. Hope that was helpfull.

I think the jobs in the engineering fields are in good numbers. Devlopement , Technology cannot slow down they will continue to go on with increased rate. But then there are people who simply take up engineering to have better pay instead of going by their interests. This may be due to parental pressure or peer pressure. Other fields are not so much paying as the engineering but the high pays goes only to the brilliant minds.

I got to a college that is very popular for engineering. I think a lot of students ar e interested in majoring in engineering are for a number of reasons. Many of the college students now grew up when with the internet, computer games, and chatting. For a lot of my friend their decision to become an engineer came from their everyday interaction with technology and then the eventual realization that they would enjoy exploring the detailed nuances as to how technology worked.
Also, another big reason is...MONEY! With an undergraduate degree, an engineer's starting salary is not too shabby compared to other "straight out of college" professions. As for the sciences/medical students, the story is exactly the opposite. Not many people can do what they want with an undergraduate science degree. Graduating with a bachelors in biology, although great, it's too broad to do much without going BACK to school to get another degree. And everyone knows graduate school costs A LOT of money. Having to go through so much more schooling to become to become a medical professional is a long and expensive journey.
