Unresolved

I was searching for discussions that caught my interest. In one of the tabs was unresolved. And I found tons of discussions that I have had and hadn't resolved them. I'm guessing to resolve them is to mark best response. Do you ever forget about resolving your discussions? Do you have any discussions that have no responses, therefore impossible to resolve? Is there any way to get these discussions deleted?

Wow, I just realized I've never picked a best response for any of my discussions. Well there's only about five of them so it's not a huge mistake I guess. What does marking a best response do really? Other than give someone bragging rights? I don't think there's a way to delete discussions, sorry.

I guess that would be the only reason. I don't think they'd get paid any extra for that. I don't really know though.

I was thinking maybe it contributed to rank or something like that. I'm not sure. But I'll pick some best responses so that they can have bragging rights. :D

Aha, I was wondering about that! I've marked best response in two discussions only, but then I haven't started many yet. I suppose it is best to wait until you don't expect any more answers before you find the best response.

Yeah, I am planning on waiting a few more days to mark my best responses since most of them are mostly recent ones.

Hi mlhuff12, Yea, because I am not always active at myLot - I am sometimes active, then I disappear then I become active again (loop this ), I sometimes forget to resolve discussions. It always found me in surprise because every time I would think I would have resolve them all but I did not. So what I did is to resolve everything as soon as I realize and as soon as I get some time and find the inclination. Right now at least, all my old ones have been resolved fine. For those without any responses... if you wait it out, I guess you might get at least 1 response in future. Otherwise, what many people here do is to broadcast to their friends the discussion links of un-responded to discussions for them to help out. Discussions are only deleted by admin when they are in violation. In some rare cases, the admins have been known to delete them when you write in with a sufficiently strong reason. Cheers!

Yeah. I had been gone for months. Then one day I decided to come back. It's been a few days since then. I'm glad I came back because it is fun. And I feel the time spent here is better than spending a lot of time on facebook's farmville.

To be frank with you, I dont give too many best responses to anyone in my discussions. So there are bound to be many many unresolved discussions to my credit. i find it very difficult to choose any one answer as the best, because there will be so many equally good answers, so i dont bother.I am not going to either. i feel i should do it spontaneously rather than forced to do it...All the best mlhuff and have a great weekend

I do have a few that are unresolved, but I am not in any hurry to get them resolved. I will eventually get to them, but I just have so much do do, that I just don't take the time to get them done. I find it hard at times to resolve them since we can only pick one best response, and I seem to get a lot of good answers. Wehn I do go to resolve them though, I will read ll the respponses again, and thne pick and if I still cant't pick, then I will read them again until I am able to pick one. I like to wait before I give best response though, as I want to make sure all that are goind to respond already have. good luck to you and happy mylotting.

under discussions to the far right you should see unresolved. This only shows the discussions that you started that are still unresolved.

Alright, I see... Those "no response discussions" we started are also in the unresolve page... Well then, there is no way I can resolved it unless somebody will find time commenting on it... Well I think I have lots of BR marking to do...

Hi mlhuff! I have also many unresolved discussions. I sometimes do not find time to have a look at all the responses on older discussions because I get adequate (read large) number of responses to my discussions. Whenever I try to visit my unresolved discussion, I end up posting my comments/counter-comments on these discussions, forgetting in the process that I visited the discussion for marking the best response. We must resolve our discussions, otherwise our friends/users forgot about their responses, which they posted in response to our discussions. I do not think one can delete his/her discussion.

Thank you very much for bringing this to the notice. We several time start discussions and later forget to resolve this. So most old discussions go to unresolved. Just thinking how many unresolved discussion may be there for me. Let me check this out and close as many as possible. thansk once again for reminding .

mlfuff12 Yes all you need to do is read all the responses and just mark the one you think is the best response to your discussion. also make comments as that does pay you well as I found out in my earnings. so now I do do comments to all the responses my friends make to my discussions. it is also a lot of fun to keep it going into a real discussion with all the various points of view and opinions. thats really enjoyable.

that happened to me when i first started. i didnt realise you should go back and mark a best response to get them resolved. so when someone on here told me i found i had about 15 or so not resolved anyway, theres no way i think to get them deleted. maybe ask administration. another problem is that several dont even go back and answer/respond to their own discussions. which should be against the rules in my opinion. so i imagine they have TONS of unresolved. once in a while someone will ask if they can get just one friend to comment on one so they can get it resolved.

I am so bad at remembering to resolve discussions that I now make a note in my desk diary so that I remember to go through and do them. I tend to do them only once a week as this allows the discussion to remain open long enough to attract people to respond who only bother when best response hasn't been chosen. Sometimes I have discussions left unresolved for more than a few weeks because when I look through the responses I don't see any which to me merit a best response.
